"that's all?" the older female oikawa asked, slamming their car baggage.
"mom.." he says. he's not annoyed, not at all, but he's an adult now, and his mom needs to stop worrying about him.
"sorry, honey. i'm just-" she pauses, thinking of the right words to say "it's just a little overwhelming, okay? this is the first time you'll be away from home, and i wanna make sure that everything goes well"
he responses with a smile, picking up his stuff and walking in the building, helped by his father behind him.
"tooru oikawa" and some other stuff his mother says, talking to the receptionist.
"yeah, got it. room 208, it's on the 5th floor." he hears from the little distance between them before walking off to the lift.
his mom pressed the 5th floor button, trying her best to help the two man with full hands, holding tooru's stuff.
the second they arrive at the destinated floor, he looks at the numbers pattern and decides (or more like, guess) that they need to take a turn to the right.
his room is the 12th room they see, but nonetheless it's the 8th room from the lift to there. they enter with the key in hand, and it was empty. seems he was the first to arrive there.
"right, we'll just leave the stuff here, and you sort it out, kay?" his dad pats his head after putting everything he was holding down, being a few inches taller than tooru. "need to be self-sufficient"
and with that and a few hugs, scolding, and tips, they left.
so he also left.
he took a tour around the campus in a different building, and though it's hard to memorize them all, he also didn't finish looking around. there was a lot of rooms he still haven't entered, mostly because the university is so big. he gets tired after walking around half the buulding, so he went back.
hoping that the time he killed gave time for his roommate to arrive and unpack, he opened the door. everything was the same, except the first time his parents was with him.
and there wasn't a naked man in a towel.
