"oh wait, my girlfriends coming over today" iwaizumi says, a few (to be precise, three) days in being a roommate.
they've both unpacked everything, put them where they're supposed to be, and moved in perfectly. the room is clean – though 2/5 of the time, oikawa occasionally throws everything on the floor while looking for something, but never goes back to clean it – and ideal and it would be grandma enough to be put on the front cover
"your soulmate?" oikawa shoots the first question that would come to any normal person's mind. it's a question that doesn't pry much into one's life, but you'd still get answers.
"well– to be honest, we haven't checked. she wanted it to be when we get married." he chuckles at the thought. they were only 19, and they're already looking ahead into marriage.
"doesn't that put you in a disadvantage? i mean— if she wasn't your actual soulmates, then what would happen to you both? and your soulmates?" oikawa looked over to iwaizumi.
"shit, i didn't mean it that way!" his eyes widens when he finds iwaizumi staring down at him – well, more like up. he's taller than him.
"we haven't looked there yet." iwaizumi looked back towards the tv. "i mean, marriage! who thinks about that shit at 19? she was just saying."
"do you think she'll accept it if you weren't soulmates?" oikawa yet asks another question that could be considered rude.
"yeah." he says, followed by a nod.
"if you're gonna watch the tv, put the phone down" he complains, pointing to iwaizumi's phone opened on he and his girlfriend's texts that oikawa could see from that angle, and he decides to.
'yeah, he likes to pry.' oikawa lets out a choke, and a giggle afterwards.
