Slowly, her weak flesh and her overwhelming desire for the man weakened and she resisted the man. She bit his lower lip and she heard him groan. She saw how surprised he looked at her actions. He wasn't expecting it. He got it all wrong when he threatened her that she was at his mercy. He couldn't be further from the truth.
"No Asher. You got it wrong. You are at my mercy"
"Yes, I am" Asher faced the wall before turning to look at her. "I have loved you for a very long time, Calliope. I will probably love you for the rest of my life but what you just did…what you said? It's cruel…you are cruel, Pepper!"
"And you are a cheating whore! And by the way, Jacob is imaginary…can you say the same about your dearest Helen?!"
