Chapter 192: Stop talking
Four days later
During dinner, when Asher came into the dining room to eat, he saw Pepper and for a split second he was tempted to kiss her. Even Pepper noticed the way he looked at her, it made her uncomfortable to say the least.
"Do I have something on my face?" Pepper asked him and wiped her face severally with the back of her palm.
Asher shook his head "No. You are perfect, Mrs Wife"
Pepper almost blushed. She didn't remember having someone tell her that before. When Starr came out of her bedroom to sit beside her father, Pepper still watched Asher, seeing the two of them together, she almost remembered something but the more she tried to hold on to the fleeting memory, the more it slipped away.
