Chapter 186: Nonsense
Starr reluctantly let pepper go and she scratched the back of her neck as she waited for the awkwardness of being introduced to her mother all over again to pass. She wondered briefly whether she should have hugged pepper, she was her mother but to Pepper, Starr was a stranger she was meeting for the first time.
Starr cleared her throat and pointed to the sofa by the corner of the living near the Brazilian vase on a stool, it had been Pepper's favorite sofa in green lantern.
"Mom, do you want sit down?"
Pepper nodded and made herself comfortable on the sofa. This was awkward…this was very awkward! She was meeting these people for the first time but as her eyes wandered around the most expensive apartment she has seen in her life, she could see the portrait of a woman who had her face, her smile, her eyes…a woman who was her replica yet who she had no memory of at all.
Who was the woman in a portrait with her face?
