Chapter 134: Meeting the Great Grands
Pepper knew exactly two things about the other side of Asher's family... one, they were rich and two, they were horrible people.
She saw the way Martha exhaled and picked up a glass of wine to mask the fact that she was nervous when the butler announced that the willows were in fact outside.
And Just like she did with Starr's mother, she also made a split second decision to protect her family once again.
"Ma'am, should I let them inside?" Fred asked Martha but she hesitated and instead she took a gulp of wine.
"Yes, uncle Freddy…let them inside and please, try to be nice" Asher answered in place of Martha.
"I am nice" Fred shrugged like his niceness was supposed to be apparent.
"You are overprotective….be nice" Asher warned firmly.
"I shall do my best" Fred bowed slightly before walking away to open the door.
