Chapter 48 - Fair

'Siska, I know all my talk won't make you hear anymore. I'm sorry, I don't want you to accept either. Disappointed, upset, angry, I know that's what you're feeling right now. I want to say, all of this happened because of compulsion, which means it wasn't my choice. If Putri told me her parents matched her, that's what happened. So did my parents. I daresay all threesomes with Putri as well. So, there are no more misunderstandings. It's not that I'm defending myself. It's just that I don't want you to think I'm pessimistic. I wish you'd like to give me a point to discuss the latter. Thanks. For the umpteenth time, I'm sorry.'

For almost three days, Siska shut herself in the room without sounding. All that was heard was the occasional sobbing that couldn't stop for ten minutes. Luckily, the mother was not at home because of the holiday with her friends. However, Siska did want to keep the matter to itself as it used to be without a single person knowing.

Of course, the mind will not be able to think clearly in this situation. After reading Andi's message, she still couldn't stop crying. Now, she is alone at home with no one to accompany him.

Knock Knock

Siska didn't want to open the door and thought it would be Andi. She then let someone she didn't know still knock on her door.

'Sis, open the door, huh? I'm in front of your house. Today your schedule checks.'

It turned out that Siska's conjecture was wrong, so each of them could not escape the previous incident. She even forgot her inspection schedule. She didn't want to see anyone at this time, but her mother would be worried if she didn't get her health checked. Moreover, the mother communicated directly with Putri regarding Siska's check-up schedule.

Siska opened the door and saw Putri standing in front of her with a happy smile. A painful welcome for Siska. On the contrary, Siska's eyes certainly looked moist, with the remnants of tears still lingering in her eyes.

Putri was silent for a moment and greeted her future husband's girlfriend.

"Hi, Sis! Today is your check-up schedule. You must be forgot, right?" asked Putri as if nothing had ever happened between the two.

Siska nodded slowly. She tried to give a friendly smile, but it was so tricky that she saw a wry smile. Finally, she invited her doctor into the living room.

"Thankfully, your health development has improved. Maybe, you only need one more check-up. Ah, you are a little sleep deprived. Take care of your sleep patterns, huh? So that you can be completely healthy," explained Putri.

"yes, thank goodness," Siska replied.

"Sis, I want to apologize if I made you a cell. I don't know that Andi is your boyfriend. So I'm sorry, huh?" Putri said.

"Y-yes, Put," Siska replied shortly.

"It's settled. I went straight home, huh?"

Putri drank the sip of tea Siska served and went straight to the exit of the house.

"Ah, I forgot. Again, sorry if it had to be like this. You know my life how, I love you like my own sister. But, when it comes to Andi, I can't back down because knowing him is the happiest thing in my life. I also love you, one day you will get someone who loves you more than Andi. You are beautiful, kind, smart, many like you than I do. You have better luck. I don't want our friendships to be ruined because of this, I still want us to share happiness together with each other's paths in life. Greetings to your mom, ok?! I'm leaving first, bye Siska."

Again, Siska couldn't help but nod. She realized that what Putri said had some truth. She was luckier than Putri. After all, without Putri, perhaps her health condition is still deteriorating. Nevertheless, Putri is one of the meaningful people in Siska's life.

She smiled in tears as she waved goodbye as Putri left.

'If you want to explain something, over the phone, it's ok. I'm not angry anymore.'

Siska decides to reply to Andi's message. Time and time again, she sighed to be strong at Andi's voice and explanation. She had prepared himself for everything.

"He-hello, I'm sorry if I have to bother you with this phone. How are you doing, Babe?" asked Andi.

"Can you go straight to the subject? I'm sorry, if you can, call me by my name," asked Siska, trying to be tough.

"Ok, sorry. I'm not going to have much lip service anymore, Sis. Because I'm the same. I'm devastated too. So, indeed both my parents and Putri's parents are pretty close business associates. Between my father and Putri's father, Mr. Hartono, there was an agreement between friends whose content was to match us. My father is indeed a hard man. From childhood, I always took refuge under my mom, and she would always help me whenever I needed to. At that time, I had asked mom to help stop all this, especially unfollowing my dad's ego. But, there's a reality I just learned about. Mr. Hartono has been very instrumental in my family business, as well as my mom's current health. So, for the first time my mom refused to help me. I've tried my best to maintain our relationship. Well, why can I want to take Mr. Hartono to walk with him yesterday? Because, I once asked Putri for help to stop this, but she didn't want to. Out of emotion, I snapped at her. I felt guilty at the time. So, I was forced to fulfill her request. She said, she wanted to invite me to meet a patient who eventually became her close friend, she loved you. I don't know if it's you."

Siska fell silent at Andi's explanation. She still hasn't responded because she needs to digest everything slowly with a cool head and positive thinking.

"Are you still there?" asked Andi ascertained.

"I'm here," Siska replied.

"I don't want to promise. But, as hard as I can I will fight for our love, Sis," explained Andi.

"Do what you think is good, as long as you don't hurt your parents, let alone your mom. Putri too, don't hurt her. She's a good guy," Siska said in a flat tone.

"Bu-but.."

"Ok, Andi. Thank you for your explanation."

Siska turned off the phone unilaterally. She slammed her body into the mattress blankly.

"Did you deliberately leave my destiny like this, God? Ah, I know. Maybe you're shaping me for the umpteenth one. After I was mentally crushed as a child, and I tried to get up, now my heart is attacked again as I really put hope on him. God, can I be disappointed? I realized, Putri also has the right to be happy after what she went through. I'm not mad at her, I'm just wondering why my destiny is like this?" she said with a monologue.

Ring

An incoming message from Maria broke her reverie.

'Siska. Where are you? For days I didn't reply to my message. This message has been the twelfth time I have sent. Hopefully you reply this message.'

Siska didn't know where and to who she was telling the story. Does it need an account of people? We don't think all of that will help solve the problem. But, not hypocritical, she still wants to live her relationship with Andi and hopes she will get married.

The shock was not only felt by Siska. But, Andi too. The first time he felt very unhappy with the arrival of his parents in Indonesia because of this problem. So frustrated, he didn't even eat for days.

In her frenzy, he was shocked by the sound of shoe heels coming from the direction downstairs of his house. He then rushed out of his room to see who the person was.

"Hello, who's there?" shouted Andi.

From upstairs, he didn't see anyone downstairs.

"Peek a boo!"

Andi was stunned when someone startled him by patting him on the shoulder.

"Hahaha, shocked, huh??"

Andi sighed when he saw someone who broke into his house without excuses. By carrying a large paper bag that seems to contain something in large quantities.

"Can't you go to the door first or anything, Put?" quipped Andi irritably.

"I want to surprise you," Putri replied.

Andi twisted her two eyeballs and walked as if leading Putri towards the tv room on the house's second floor.

"Here, I bring food. So you must not have eaten, right?" said Putri.

"I'm not hungry." The more Andi replied coldly, the more the woman liked him. Finally, she just smiled and opened the food box she had brought in the paper bag.

The seafood-themed menu with several different dishes tested Andi's faith when he smelled the aroma. How not? These menus include cash kale, flour fried squid, prawn, butter crab, and sweet and sour seasoned carp fish ordered from a famous seafood restaurant in Bandung.

"Yes, eat. I have taken the rice, all the menus have also been poured on the plate," said Putri.

"I've already said I'm not hungry!" Andi refused again.

"Convinced? But I saw you earlier. The lyrics kept going to this food. At most, your stomach is ringing," Putri said.

Grok ….

Sure enough, the worm in Andi's stomach struggled violently without time. But, of course, it made him embarrassed to death.

"I told you, you don't have prestige, you know!" repeated Putri.

Andi was still silent because he wanted to answer what. Between prestige said he wanted to, but on the other hand, he was hungry too.

"Open your mouth to eat, or I will kiss you?" the Princess asked.
