Peeking through a small gap of leaves, Theodore surveyed the surroundings.
"Almost everything in the park may have overgrown but the terrain is still the same."
Theodore fell into deep thought.
He needs to head back home as soon as possible. The more he stays out in the open, the more danger he could encounter.
"Unfortunately, my phone seems to have been affected by the magical energy. It's practically useless now."
Theodore sighed.
Right now, he was clueless about the outside world. Still, based on what the voice said earlier, the rest of the world must have changed just like the place he was in.
"I should go."
Theodore stood up.
"Luckily, there are fewer insects and animals here, or else I wouldn't be able to find my way out."
There wasn't any overgrown creature in his sight.
Taking the perfect opportunity, Theodore silently walked out of the bush and left towards the exit.
At the same time, the rest of the world was engulfed by chaos.
Screams, sounds of running for their lives, cries, all sorts of sounds rang out.
Unlike the somehow quiet park where Theodore stayed.
Other places especially in cities have much more destructive animals such as dogs, cats, rats, and other animals that appeared to have awakened their ferociousness.
Dapitan City, inside the mayor's office.
"What the hell is happening? Somebody, please investigate the situation outside this instant!"
A middle-aged man with a solemn face issued a loud order to the people lying on the floor.
The middle-aged man was furious.
He was the mayor of the city yet everyone around him, including his trusted security, were just sleeping around despite the commotion.
After he woke up, through his window, he could see the chaos arising outside.
Dark smoke blooming from buildings, banging sounds came one after another, and sharp screams and animal roars seldom stopped.
He even caught a glance at an enormous silhouette of a bird that covered the sun. The wind pressure from its low-altitude flight even broke several windows.
So much commotion yet..
"You fellows dared to sleep your asses off!" The mayor shouted again.
????
The security and people around him were still confused but seeing the mayor's enraged expression they fulfilled his injunction almost immediately.
Bang!
5 minutes later,
Soldiers rushed inside the mayor's office with large sweat all over their faces.
It only took a brief explanation before the mayor understood the predicament.
"Contact every military personnel immediately! This is a city-wide emergency. Anyone who is qualified needs to conduct an immediate rescue to every citizen on sight!" The mayor howled.
After that, everyone else in the room except the mayor and his securities left.
The mayor looked through his shattered window once again with a distinct frown.
He remembered what the cold voice said and fell into deep thought.
"The world's structure may change from now onwards."
The mayor muttered.

Meanwhile,
Theodore hid behind a huge tree. Not far from him was a green slick lizard.
If it was before Theodore may have already continued walking and ignored the green animal.
After all, they were originally just the size of his foot.
However, today was different.
Theodore couldn't simply ignore a 3-meter long lizard gnawing a bloody arm!
'Someone was caught by this monster!'
Theodore felt sick.
He may have watched countless horrid films but seeing it in person was way different than he have imagined.
Theodore wanted to run away as far as possible. But the path in front of him was the shortest way out of the park.
He would encounter more danger if he's going to take a detour. Besides that, the green lizard's mouth is occupied!
It was at this moment when the green lizard turned its back on him.
'It's now or never!'
Theodore shouted internally. He couldn't just miss this perfect opportunity.
After that, Theodore took the shot.
Palms directed towards the oblivious lizard, the magical spell [Fireball Lv.1] promptly activated.
A burst of energy was discharged from his red tinge palm followed by a ball of fire at the size of a soccer ball.
Boom!
Before the green lizard could even react, a ball of fire blew on its back.
Theodore saw a figure rolling on the ground from the smoke. It was the green lizard.
After rolling for a dozen steps, it then crashed into a nearby tree.
"It's still not enough!"
Theodore gritted his teeth and sprinted towards the lizard. Maybe because of his low proficiency, his shot was slightly off.
When Theodore was 2-3 meters away, he continued his assault. After his first attack came another two.
The green lizard— who still hasn't recovered from the impact— watched the two fireballs with disorientation.
And just like that, the 3-meter long green lizard died without having a glimpse of its assailant.
"Ha..." Theodore slumped down.
The 3 consecutive releases of fireballs greatly exhausted him. One more fireball and he will really collapse.
Soon, Theodore felt the black rock in his mind glow, the [Fireball (Red)] must have leveled up.
However, he did not have a time to care about that, despite his fatigue, Theodore left the place immediately.
The continuous discharge of fireball must have attracted unwanted attention.
He walked for a hundred steps, before finally having to recover half of his lost energy.
Theodore discovered that although slightly less effective, he could still absorb magical energies in the surroundings while moving.
Based on what the black rock has acted so far. Its purpose appeared to be the storage of Magical Beads and Magical Energies.
"It's similar to 'Dantians' in cultivation novels. Does this mean that the black rock can be improved or cultivated?"
Theodore was excited but then shook his head and cleared his needless thoughts. He doesn't need to worry about that right now.
His highest priority was to get out of the forest-like park alive.
The Barcelona park was located in the center of Dapitan City. So it wasn't that particularly big due to the widening of the roads.
Walking with vigilance, it didn't take long before he was in the outer perimeter of the park.
A hundred or so steps and would be out.
Just as he was about to feel joy, he saw a frightening figure in the sky.
What he saw was.
An airplane-size red bird came crashing down towards him.
Sweshhh!
The gigantic red bird flew past him and was falling heavily towards the center of the park.
It was plummeting so fast that before Theodore could even blink, the gigantic bird slammed on the ground.
Boom!
The wind roared and the earth shook. It was as if a meteor fell from the sky. The impact was so large that it could even be felt in the nearby residents.
Theodore who wasn't that far from the place of impact suffered the most.
