Chapter 662 - Questioning Skadi

"Fine… Your request better not be something unreasonable!" Skadi said as she had no choice as she knew that she couldn't expect anyone to do it other than Yuki because she was the only one who could create a 10-layered Magic Circle that fast and on top of that it was also one of the strongest that she has seen in her life, so she was pretty much force into this.

She could only hope that Yuki's request wouldn't be something over the top and unreasonable and the worst part of it is that it would be practically anything considering that it was her. She couldn't understand a single thing about her.

"Good choice, then how about we go now? So what we can talk about what I want~" Yuki said, she then said goodbye to the two before quickly flying towards some random direction so that no one could hear them. When she felt that they were finally far away enough, she only needed to look at Skadi to tell her something.

When Skadi saw this, she just sighed before snapping her fingers to create a barrier around them so that no one would be able to hear what they were going to talk about, but that barrier also made it so that no one would be able to see them as they were now practically invisible to everyone.

"Good… Now I have an offer for you, a 10-layered Magic Circle is too easy for me actually. I'm only offering once, I'll create a 1000-layered Magic Circle for you, and in exchange, you will answer all of my questions without lying. Think about this carefully, Skadi. After all… this is a big decision for you and your Kingdom." Yuki said as she made her 1000 Layers of Death, she even picked up a branch before throwing it towards the Magic Circle which Skadi caught immediately.

And when she saw that seemingly ordinary branch of her hand, she almost dropped it because of how powerful it became. The Branch practically became a Saint killing weapon due to how powerful it was she couldn't believe that such a thing was possible as in her whole life she had always thought that 10 layers was the pinnacle and the strongest, but after seeing how Yuki easily topped it, it seems that she was wrong.

" So… what is your choice? If you refuse you can lie to me but you still have to answer me, but I'll just make a normal 10-layered Magic Circle. It's a win-win situation for you and me because if you still decide to lie in my face, I will still have some general ideas and theory, but if you decide to tell the truth, then you will have this Magic Circle that no one in this world has seen before." Yuki said casually as she waited for an answer from Skadi, but she already knew what kind of decision she was going to make either way, and she was just waiting for that.

No matter how prideful and arrogant Skadi is, this kind of offer isn't something she could just look down on, as it was a choice of a lifetime. This could change the fate of her Kingdom if she makes the right choice, whether it is lying or telling the truth, that will decide whether her Kingdom will Live to the very end, or Collapse in time.

"I accept your offer… I only need to say the truth to you, right? Then go ahead, ask me anything, and I will answer all of them truthfully." Skadi sighed as she had no choice, to begin with after knowing the fact that Yuki was capable of doing something that could only exist in fantasy.

"Good choice, let's sign an oath to celebrate it~ Gotta take measures…" Yuki just smiled as she handed an oath to where none of them could betray the other one, this time she didn't use her favorite oath because it was not needed this time. Just this normal advanced oath is enough to make the other one suffer if they ever decide to go against it. It only took a few seconds before it was done and when it was done, Yuki wasted no time as she asked her first question.

"How long have you known about Kurokami's abuse?" Suddenly the air around them shifted and Skadi was engulfed in a terrifying aura, she felt that if she answered wrongly or even said something that wasn't pleasant in the ears of Yuki, she would die right here and now.

"All her life… but I have a reason for it. It's because I have made an oath to which I cannot do something to anyone in my family any longer. This time it is different because it is a matter of the whole Kingdom." Skadi answered with a little difficulty and after hearing her answer, the air around them got even colder than before. She could even see her own breath now at this point due to how cold it was.

"Don't care for your reason, I only want an answer. To what extent have they been abusing her? Mentally, Physically, or even both?" Yuki simply asked as she didn't care about a single thing about her reason as to why she couldn't do anything about Kurokami's abuse.

"Both… She has suffered a lot and all of it is my fault and I admit that. To atone for my sins at least, I have helped her every single time she gets beaten by them, I know it sounds bad, but that was the only thing that I could give her. Medical and Emotional support. But I regret everything, if I had not made that Oath, this would not have happened." Skadi said but Yuki just ignored her again and asked another question.

"Last question… Why does the Royal Family hate the Light Element as that is the ultimate reason why Kurokami got that treatment." Yuki asked if she had already gotten the two most important answers that she wanted and this question was just for her to get some more information about the Royal Family.

"A certain someone… someone that I don't even know of had cursed the first Queen of our Kingdom which led to her death. But we couldn't do anything about it because that person was treated as a Hero of Nightingale because of what she did for our World. She cursed our Queen to where she wouldn't be able to touch any Light again." Skadi said before taking a quick pause before finally finishing the story.

"Even the smallest ray of Light will hurt like someone is peeling her skin off and because of that, she had to live in a dark room with no Light whatsoever. All of this happened because my Grandmother managed to win the heart of the woman that the Hero loved. So she took revenge on that. Insanely petty, right?"
