Chapter 663 - Yuki Doesn't Care

"Do you really think that telling me this will help? You see… I hardly care about that. It doesn't matter to me, the only thing that I care about is how your Family betrayed and abused my wife, that is the only thing that I care. It doesn't matter if your grandmother was cursed or not." Yuki said in a flat and cold tone as she just stared at Skadi not caring too much about it as she merely wanted to know the history of it so she could get a better understanding of it.

But knowing how petty and stupid the reason was, only makes her even more irritated and mad after knowing about the story of how the Royal Family got mad at the Light Element though she can still understand it to some degree she just couldn't understand of how stupid they are to completely hate a certain Element just because of that one moment.

"You do not need to explain because, in my eyes and mind, that just shows how stupid the entire Royal Family is. Abusing your own child just because she was born with the Light Element that she wasn't even forced into getting as she was born with, is just pure stupidity. It shows how intellectually stupid your Family is. It's good that at least Kurokami has developed a pretty smart mind despite being in that environment." Yuki was not merciless with her words as she said so many bad things about Skadi's Family.

Though she hardly cares if Skadi gets hurt by what she said, she doesn't care about it. Her hatred towards the Royal Family just skyrocketed even more after knowing the real reason for abusing Kurokami. Maybe she could still understand it if it was somehow reasonable, she even tried to keep an open mind to it, but after hearing the reason and how stupid and petty it was. It only ignited her rage.

The words of Momozano then suddenly rang into her mind and when she remembers that she asked her if she could not kill the Royal Family, she was thinking about doing that and just letting them off by torturing them for a few days so that they can feel what kind of pain Kurokami felt when the abused her. But now she was not even thinking of doing that anymore.

"You can leave now, don't show your son or any of your Family's face in front of me. Because I might just attack them. Just call me when you want to do the barrier." Yuki said as she dismissed Skadi and left without saying anything more leaving Skadi alone and speechless about what she just heard.

Deep inside she was hurt about what Yuki just said to her because at that moment she was just saying how petty the Hero was for cursing her Grandmother because she managed to beat her in the race of love. But now her Family was also just as bad as they abused an innocent child just because she was born with the Light Element. She didn't even choose to have that kind of Element, she was merely born with it, but everyone put that fact aside and let their emotions get the better of them and hurt a child because of it.

"Ahhh… this is just the worst," Skadi said as she looked up in the sky before taking a deep breath and finally leaving since she didn't have anything to do today. Even if she still needed to teach today, she didn't think that she could face the three of them with her like this, so she just merely sent a message to Kurokami apologizing that she wouldn't be able to train with them today as she was going to be busy with the affairs of the Kingdom.

"Yuki… is the Kingdom in a really tight position? Grandma just sent me a message that she wouldn't be able to come because of the affairs that she will need to do in the Kingdom." Kurokami approached Yuki who was lying down on the sofa with her eyes closed. But as soon as she was questioned, she merely opened her eyes and saw Kurokami looking down on her with some of her hair dropping to her face. So she merely smiled at this and answered in a calm tone.

"Maybe, I guess? It's definitely in a bad position and just as all of you know the attackers are unknown, well only one of them. But that doesn't matter though, if those Nobles actually got up in their ass and helped, the Kingdom wouldn't be in such a bad place. Plus like I said earlier, your Grandmother made a mistake in the past which is just now blooming into a fruit, but not into a sweet fruit, but a sour and disgusting fruit." Yuki just laughed a little as she then sat up on the sofa before pulling Kurokami so that she was on her lap.

"But you don't have to worry about a single thing. They already have the money and I even promised that I would help Skadi with creating the barrier for the Kingdom. Though the only thing that I can really help with is the external forces such as the Kingdoms that want to seize advantage of your Kingdom's current weakness, but as for the internal trouble… there is nothing I can do with it." Yuki said as she just hid what she and Skadi talked about but still decided to be honest and said what she thought.

When Kurokami heard Yuki's answer, she felt her heart drop, she instantly became sad as she then leaned over and placed her head on Yuki's chest, seeking comfort. Of course, she loves this Kingdom as she was born in it, and even if she had faced so many difficulties along the way, it doesn't stop her from loving it.

As the land did nothing to her, it was the people. Mostly her Family members, but in her heart and mind she already forgave them ever since she understood why they did it in the first place. Yuki knows this and this is what irritates her the most as to how can she just easily forgive them even with all of what they did to her.

"Yuki… why do you think people are like that? Even though know that they are being selfish, they still do it. Even if it means hurting others, why do they still do it? I just don't understand it." Kurokami asked in a sad tone and when Yuki heard it, she merely sighed before hugging her entire body to comfort her.

"I can't really give you a real answer to that. I can only say what I think, is that fine with you?" Yuki asked gently and when she felt Kurokami nodding her head, she sighed in relief.

"Yeah, anything…" Kurokami said as she clutched Yuki's clothes tighter.

"Greed will always be the cause of evil in the World. That is because everything living in this world is simply… Greedy…" Yuki said and took a quick pause before continuing.

"But if you don't want to accept that answer, then here's a kinder version of it, I guess. Not everyone is simply like you where they are kind and always too quick to help someone, if I'm going to be honest if you really think that being kind to everyone that you meet can get you somewhere, then you are wrong." Yuki stopped momentarily when she felt Kurokami shift, afraid she might have said the wrong thing. But when she felt that it didn't seem to be the case, she continued.

"I'll just ask you this… why do you think the Good People always die first? It's simply because they are too kind, and they always turn a blind eye to everyone's mistakes. Being kind is a good thing, but that doesn't mean being selfish is bad either. Sometimes you also need to be selfish, so you don't need to feel bad for being one."
