The ride home took longer than Gal wanted.
Michaela had tried to beg Gal for them to stay in a hotel and head home in the morning but Gal didn't have it. She wanted to get home before Sheryl told her brother more than she ever wanted her brother to know.
Michaela stopped asking her what was going on after failed attempts.
If they were in a taxi, Gal would have ignored the fact that she ignored Michaela the whole day and asked her to yell at the driver to drive as fast as he could. Or she. Does it matter?
Gal glanced at Michaela who was resting her head on top of her shoulder. She brushed off the strand of braid which was on her nose and smiled sadly at her best friend. The friend she never thought she loved.
Another person in her life whom she won't bare if she leaves her.
