Zero slowly took a step towards where the group of people had been standing, finding he was more than ten feet away from the area. The second thing he realized was that there was one shade currently standing between a figure with a hole in its chest, and another with what looked like a watermelon-shaped hole that had been blasted out of their back. As he got closer, he realized that both figures weren't moving.
Without a second thought, Zero quickly leaned forward and swiped his hand through the human Shade.

Zero was impressed by that number, as he hadn't expected those two to have a total of 78k Souls between them both going into this fight. 'The only problem with this, however, is now the Highschool group could fall apart, making it harder for me to sell to them.' Shrugging, Zero turned to fight Tyler unconscious laying on the ground. Zero thought about killing him for his Souls, however, he instead walked past him towards the Mall.
Zero took a deep breath after finally dissecting every Qwulvis he had found in the mall. As it turned out, the babies seemed to have stopped moving altogether and instead fell to the ground. although they still breathed, allowing Zero to still get trash-grade body parts from them. He sat against the wall in the pet shop he had just cleaned himself in, mentally preparing himself to recollect all of the items in the mall once more. He was about to stand and get a couple of hours of work in when his eyes closed and he fell asleep, exhausted after the day he had had.
Awaking after having slept away an entire night, Zero read over the list of potential sponsors for that day.

Clenching his teeth to keep the shout from escaping his lips, Zero convulsed on the floor. Zero didn't know how long it lasted before he could let out a painless breath. rolling to his stomach, he felt the cool cement below him as it made his sweat-soaked shirt cold.

The Window Zero had been reading suddenly blinked out of existence without him telling it to. 'Window, what is happening?' Zero expected something to happen, only for nothing to appear in front of his eyes. 'Window?'

Zero was confused by what Closed Loop Mode was so he asked the Window itself.

Confused, Zero started going through all of the functions he could think of that he could do without the Window assisting him. Once enough time had passed, Zero's exploring had led him to believe that nothing that he could tell had changed. The only thing he noticed was that he now had to manually think about wanting to pull up certain things like the shop.
Once he got his bearings, Zero decided that he would stick to his original plan. He started for the closest store before putting items Directly into his shop. It took Zero a continuous two weeks before he was finally done, having cleared the entire mall of every item. Scrolling through his shop, which now had thousands of different items, he allowed a satisfied smile to wash over his face. 'It will still be worth it later down the road.'
Throughout those two weeks of clearing out the mall, he had been keeping tabs on any happenings with the school as well as seeing if the Window had come out of its special mode yet, it had not. The first thing he noticed about the school was the scavenging group he had previously led to come to collect supplies from the mall never came. At first, he thought it was because he had changed things by not joining, however after watching for multiple days, he noticed that there was more activity within the school rather than outside it.
'Makes sense I suppose. new leader no doubt stepped up, causing how the school ran to change.
