Gem looked down at the boy standing in front of her, trying to gauge what was going on in his perfectly emotionless face. "And how would you know that?" Zero looked up with a smile. "Because I've been doing it."
Zero wouldn't lie, he liked the look Gem was now wearing. A look that said she was skeptical, but also that she may have made a mistake. Zero didn't miss the movement that happened behind the group leader, around fifteen feet behind them. Instantly realizing it was one of the Dungeon's wolfs, he didn't stare for too long. In the split second Zero had to review the wolf, he realized that its size was the size of a puppy rather than the cow-sized original.
'It must be losing strength due to being this far away from the Dungeon.' "Very well. then we will leave you with twenty thousand souls, and still allow you to join our group." Zero thought about it for a moment, catching glimpses of the baby wolf moving ever closer to the woman. "That sounds like a more reasonable offer, however, how do you know I won't simply attack you once I am free?"
The man farthest to the left tensed, while Gem simply laughed. "I can protect myself from anything you could try. Not to mention your friend here is vouching for you." Zero made an "OH" expression before speaking. "So I do something, and it comes back on him." The women nodded. Zero shrugged. "Makes sense." Gem waited a moment, an almost knowing smile on her face before the expression died and the arm grasping his leg started pulling him towards them.
Once they were close enough that they could touch, Zero reached his left hand out, waiting to give them the souls. As he did, he spied the wolf was now five feet behind Gem, standing there. The large man on the left reached out, grabbing his arm in return. As he did it, Gem asked how his abilities worked. Zero started explaining as he transferred the man 1,000 souls in small increments.
"One is a beam that costs me 31,040 Souls to cast, which is quite powerful. the other is an ability to rapidly move towards a target, before depositing me directly in front of that person."

As soon as he finished speaking, he lifted his right hand and pointed his pointer finger at Gem before firing a Death beam out of both pointer fingers. Without wasting a second, he targeted the baby wolf and activated
Next, he looked at Gem, only to find a circular wall rapidly expanding between where he had once been, and where Gem was standing. The second thing he noticed Gem's entire body was being covered completely with what he could only guess was a sheet of bones. Zero watched as the sheet of bones was slowly covering more and more of her back, the entire front of her body no doubt already covered. 'Not only was she able to create a 6-foot wall in the time it took my ability to activate, but she also created a suit of bone armor in that same time. what is this women's ability.'
Not allowing the body suit of bone to finish, Zero rushed forwards and placed his hand against the part of her back that hadn't been covered and willed a Death Beam to shoot out into her. Feeling the parts of his Mana Channels heat in slow motion as the Mana raced through it to comply with his commands. Zero almost thought the ability wouldn't activate before the creeping fingers pulling the armor together would completely close with his wrist still connected.
To Zero's relief, he felt the beam shove out of his arm, breaking the Mana Channels as it did before ripping into Gem's back. Before Zero had a chance to retract his hand and start to retreat, a sudden force slammed into his hand, and then his entire body, causing his vision to go black. Shoving open his eyes, Zero realized he was about to hit the ground. bracing for impact, Zero slammed into the ground before going rolling for multiple feet.

Zero sat through the time it took to heal his body, worried he would get ambushed at any second. When he was fully healed and he hadn't been attacked, he quickly jumped to his feet before surveying the area.
