The Dungeon sludge parted, allowing Zero to race into and up the building's emergency stairs. As if time was on his side, as he reached the fortieth floor, Zero received the Window talking about the paid-for Event. Without hesitation, Zero clicked no on joining it before exiting onto the floor and waiting. The entire floor was a completely bare open area, confirming what he had noticed from the outside.
Zero had been waiting on the 40th floor for over an hour before a loud gunshot suddenly roared out from above him. Zero started moving up the stairs once more before hearing another gunshot sound from the floor below him. Zero froze in place for a moment, before slowly moving back down the stairs to stand at the door of the 57th floor.
Zero slowly pushed the door open, making sure it didn't create too much noise as he did. "-lothes with a green beanie on. Cleared to kill." "Order confirmed, firing." As soon as the word 'firing' was spoken, Zero's ears were suddenly violated by the sound of a gun being fired. Zero shoved his hands against his ears, trying to block the sound out of his head as he slightly staggered. Zero started moving forward once more, even as the ringing in his ears hadn't left.
As he turned the corner, Zero came face to face with multiple different people. In the brief time he had to look at them, he instantly realized they all looked the same and were all made out of stone. The multiple stone figures all locked their eyes onto Zero before they took off towards him. In a split second, Zero looked through the multiple animated statues to find two figures laying on the ground. One had a large rifle barrel sticking out Infront of them, while he couldn't see if the other had anything.
Zero willed his version of
The dagger in Zero's hand bounced off of the concrete floor, dust going everywhere as it dug into it. Without pause, Zero lifted his hands into a defensive position as the figure to his right was already up and threw a spartan kick at him from behind. The figure's boot connected with Zero's side, as he hadn't had enough time to completely turn around.
He shuffled to the right, his small, weak figure not doing anything to keep his center of gravity. Zero felt himself pass through the window's area and into the open air. Instinct kicked in, and Zero whipped his right hand out while slamming the blade in his left hand into the wall next to him. The blade connected before lodging itself to the wall, as if it had been created to never move.
A whip appeared out of Zero's hand before shooting towards a beam he had passed by. The whip wrapped itself around the building's support beam multiple times before going taught. Zero instantly tried pulling himself back into the building, only for another kick to connect to his unprotected chest. The wind in Zero's lunges escaped him, causing him to nearly let go of the blade.
Zero forced his eyes open to find the stone statues were all charging towards him as the figure, who he could now see was a woman, simply stood there with a smile on her face. Clenching his teeth, Zero willed a Death Beam to fire out of his left big toe. The Beam roared out of his foot, catching the woman by surprise. Just before she was engulfed by the black beam, Zero watched as the man suddenly reappeared before taking the woman into his arms and disappearing once again.
As soon as the women disappeared, the stone statues all crumbled on the spot, leaving his beam to hit nothing but the building. Zero willed the beam to turn into a whip, so it wouldn't damage the building's structure anymore. With a sigh, Zero pulled himself forward before quickly checking the sniper rifle. The first thing he found, was that he knew absolutely nothing about a sniper rifle. With a sigh at the realization that he couldn't use the weapon even though he had just made an enemy that could teleport, Zero dropped a bag of food and water before placing the weapon into the timepiece.
He didn't know how that worked, as the rifle was longer than three feet, however, he didn't question it and simply picked up the bag and moved towards the stairs. Zero knew the one that could teleport would be a problem, so he didn't want to draw attention to this area if it was going to be a base for him in the future. Zero made his way all the way down the building until he was standing on the bottom floor, which was now coated in a thick layer of green sludge.
Zero picked a random room before simply standing there for a while. After multiple minutes of simply standing in place and waiting for time to pass, the sludge woman reappeared. Zero looked the woman over once more, finding she had turned half of her body into the hard crystallized version of the sludge.
