Zero heard gun fire, but it seemed far away. He tried to open his eyes, only to find he couldn't. 'Window, what is happening right now?' Zero heard the notification that a window appeared, however he couldn't see it. 'Window, I can't see the information.' There was a pause before another notification came through once more. This time however, A voice sounded in his head. The voice was mechanical, however the way it spoke was intelligent, and held a hint of emotion.
"Notice. The Host's body is currently damaged. Due to the Host being on the brink of death, souls were used to heal them to stable. Host currently has <24670> souls."
'Window, use souls to heal me right now. I'll pay 10,000 souls to unlock the option.' A sound once more sounded off before speaking again.
'Notice. <10,000> souls have been donated to the Window." "Notice. <4500> souls are being used to heal the Host to full healthy. Host currently has <10170> souls. Due to the Host using more then 50% of their souls, souls will not be used to numb the pain. The Window advises the Host to not loose consciousness, as it will slow the healing process.'
As soon as the window had finished speaking, a burning flooded through his body. Zero couldn't feel his jaw, however he knew he would be clenching it if he had control over it. Zero didn't know how long he had been laying their, however after what felt like an eternity, there was suddenly light that broke the darkness. There was a notification, however there were no spoken words. 'Window, can anyone hear you when you read the windows out loud?'
-Notice-
The Window's speak function is transmitted directly to the Host's conciseness.
Zero tried moving his head, finding his eyes moved when he commanded them to. 'Window, how long will the healing process take?'
-Notice-
The Host will be fully healed in <7> minutes.
Zero sighed as he simply had to wait. The next thing to completely come back was his ears. Instantly Zero heard multiple distant gun shots echoing through the area. 'Those idiots fired a weapon in a building full of creatures.' after seven minutes had passed, Zero sat up and looked around. The first thing he noticed was that there was multiple eye creatures currently tunneling up the broken escalator. Without pause, Zero stood and quickly but quietly made his way towards the bottom of the stairs.
Once he was there, he positioned himself so he was in a perfect line before raising his right pinky and firing a Death Beam up into the line of creatures. The beam shot hit the bottom creature in the middle of its back, killing it instantly. Zero watched as some died instantly, while others were just far enough away from hitting them dead center so they were still alive. The beam disappeared and Zero jumped back, finding four of the creatures had survived with only an arm or chunk missing.
Zero watched as the four creatures turned and looked at Zero, their large eyeballs locking onto him before they tried to move back down the stairs. he cursed as they moved through the Shades that had appeared, the Shades being absorbed by them as they moved through. The first two creatures starting moving, only to loose there footing due to there dead kin and go tumbling down the stairs. Zero instantly willed a Seeker Beam out of his right ring finger, the beam flew forward and impaled the two creatures before wrapping around and repeating it multiple times.
Zero was suddenly sent flying backwards, the Seeker Beam disappearing in the process. Zero hit the ground and instantly rolled backwards to stand back on his feet. As he looked forward, he noticed the creature at the very top of the stairs tongue was retracting back into its mouth. 'That one doesn't have any visible wounds, and it targeted me unlike the third one.' Zero's vision was pulled towards the third creature, who had just falling down the stairs after repeating the actions of the first two.
Although the creature seemed to be smarter then the rest of them, Zero didn't think to change his way of attacking. Zero took off in the direction of the stairs, waiting for the attack. The creature's eye tracked him before its body turned and it opened its mouth. Zero instantly stopped before sprinting the other direction. Zero slid to a stop as he spun and fired a Seeker Beam out of his entire right hand, aiming at the creature. The beam shot out towards the creature, only for the third one to suddenly appear Infront of it. The Seeker Beam changed directions and wrapped around the third before slamming into the fourth, its tongue arrived moments later and slapped into the third, throwing it out of Zero's vision.
Zero cursed as he didn't want to use his full hand to cast the Seeker Beam any more, but it seemed like a full hand cast was the only way to target something he didn't have a direct view of upon casting. Zero quickly stretched out the pain from the hit before walking towards the stairs. As Zero made it half way up the stairs, he suddenly got an idea. 'Window, what are these creatures called.'
-Notice-
These creatures are called Qwulvis.
Zero figured the name wouldn't make sense, as it wasn't an earth name. 'Show me Qwul- whatever parts on the shop.
-Notice-
...
Zero noticed the list went on to even include their nails. 'Window, why are there so many items retaining to these creatures?'
-Notice-
All creatures can be used to make potions and such. Qwulvis parts in particular are highly sought after if one would like to make a Lowest Grade Strength Potion.
Zero's mind raced before settling on a single fact. 'These creatures are a pile of cash just waiting to be looted!'
