Zero turned and walked back into the stables before finding one and hiding within it. Even though he as multiple walls away, he could hear and even feel the battle that was happening in the domed room. "I'm telling you, We simply ambush the winner after they use all there souls!" Zero flinched at the sudden voice that spoke farther into the stables. 'There must be a second entrance farther into the stables.' Zero quickly pulled out his pistol and pushed himself into the corner, making sure he didn't faze through it like before.
"You think you can take on that giant Buddha? Wait, Peter, I can sense a body over in that stable." Zero raised his pistol and waited for the person named Peter to step through, only to hear the footsteps to pass right by his area. 'Body... The bull!!' Zero scooted to the opening in the stall to look out, finding three people standing together while one round man walked forward. Zero noticed the two of the three were woman and were cowering together as they were both visibly shaking. The third figure was a short female that stood with evident confidence.
Zero didn't see any weapons on them, though he knew that didn't matter with abilities. He holstered the pistol before grabbing the duffle bag and standing and speaking. "Friendlies?" The two girls in the back each let out a scream as they nearly jumped out of there skin. The third female whipped around to stair daggers at Zero while she shielded the two with her arm while backing up. The man who Zero figured was Peter came running out of the stable he had left the bulls body it, blood covering his chin and the front of his shirt.
Zero reached his right hand down to rest against the pistol as he staired at Peter, making it evident that he was uneasy with the current appearance of Peter. The five stood in silence for multiple seconds before the whole building around them shook. After the shaking died down, the third woman spoke. "Why did you ambush us?" Peter's body visible slimed and Zero could have sworn he grew taller by a couple inches. "I didn't ambush you, I was simply resting in the stable away from those monsters out there when I suddenly heard a voice. If I wanted to ambush you, I wouldn't have given the element of surprise away by saying "Friendlies."
They once more stood staring at each other for another minute before the man suddenly took a deep breath in. Zero took a step back and drew the pistol three inches out of the holster, just enough to quickly aim it if need be. The girl's eyes dropped to the pistol, then to the duffle bag, then back to Zero's eyes. Zero didn't know what the male was doing, but now knew for sure that the girl was the brains in the group.
"Peter, calm down." Nothing happened for a moment, before Peter let out a loud breath and Zero watched him get a couple inches shorter. 'He did grow.' "What's your ability?" Zero slightly shook his head at the girls blunt question. "I don't have an ability." The girl scoffed as Peter once more readied himself to take a breath in. "Every Host has an ability." Zero shook his head again. "I don't have an ability. All I know is a window appeared after I touching a grey looking version of a bumble bee. Next thing I know, the window is telling me I can't leave the zoo."
Zero watched as the girls eyes started moving left to right, like she was reading something between them. 'She probably asked the window if that's possible.' The girl slowly nodded before bumping Peter with her arm. "What's in the duffle bag?" Zero tightened his grip on the duffle bag while moving it back an inch, something Zero was positive everyone saw. "Supplies." The women's eyes squinted a bit before she shrugged. "What are you going to do if we allow you to leave?"
Zero almost laughed at the way she said it, his fingers started to itch. "Hide. I looked inside were the window was pulling me, there was a large stone Buddha statue. I figured anywhere not near there is were I would go." The girl nodded before the four simply turned and walked into the insect exhibit. 'For them to turn there backs on someone with a visible gun, they must have an ability that protects them.' Zero put that thought to the back of his mind as he turned and started moving to a different stall before slipping into it and hunkering down in the corner like last time.
Zero set the duffle bag down Infront of him and took out a 12-guage before loading it with 5 buckshot rounds, before holding it pointed at the door. After twenty minutes passed and Zero didn't hear anything sides the occasional building shaking, he clicked the safety back on and put the shotgun back into the duffle bag before standing and moving farther into the room. As Zero had suspected, there was an exit door, which when opened lead to a small loading dock which smelled heavily of feces. 'This must be were they offload the larger animals and there dung.'
Zero had noticed the back of the zoo led to an open forested area, which had a tall wall around it when he was on the roof. 'The group must have hugged the wall to get here. From what the map shows, the forest is apart of the event area.' Zero peaked around the building, looking towards the skyscrapers for any sign of the sniper. To Zero's satisfaction, he saw a glint before pulling his head back.
Zero remembered the building he had seen. It was behind two other tall buildings and only around around three windows width that had a visual on the Zoo. 'There window of the zoo would be very tight, and they would have to constantly reposition if they wanted to target an individual target.' This led Zero to believe the sniper was simply to shoot at anyone that came within its target area.
