十Ten minutes later, she received a text message from Stitch Smith.
Caroline Edwin glanced at it, shoved her phone back into her pocket, and turned to walk towards the underground garage.
Inside the garage, a top-of-the-line black motorcycle was parked.
She strode over, swinging her long legs over it.
She pressed down on her black baseball cap and hung her laptop bag on the bike.
"Vroom——"
The motorcycle sped up, the wind whistling past her ears as they blew by.
Her heart raced as her speed increased, her blood boiling in her bones, but her eyes remained calm.
"Screech——"
The motorcycle suddenly made a turn and came to a stop with a tail flick in front of Longevity Hospital, stirring up a cloud of dust and attracting the attention of passersby.
She propped herself up with her long legs and jumped off the bike.
Caroline lifted her head and glanced at the tall building in front of her, then, with one hand in her pocket, she walked towards a nearby milk tea shop.
A waiter in a black and white uniform approached her and handed her a menu. "Miss, what would you like to drink?"
Caroline sat in a corner, her laptop bag on the table, and took the menu. "Just water, please."
"Alright."
After the waiter left.
She lowered the brim of her cap, unzipped her bag, and took out a thin black notebook.
She entered her password and started the computer, revealing ninety-nine new messages on her private software.
She scanned them all quickly and then exited.
Logging into Longevity Hospital's official website, her well-defined hands flew over the keyboard.
Her fingers danced, the keyboard not making a sound.
As she typed, rows of black characters appeared on the screen.
[Firewall decryption in progress, 1%, 15%, 33%, 45%...]
[Ding! Firewall successfully decrypted, security system breached.]
"Here's your water, ma'am."
The waiter brought her drink, unable to see Caroline's computer screen from her position, only able to see the afterimages left by her fingers as they flew across the keyboard.
Are they playing some kind of game? You can tell they're a skilled player just by their speed.
"Thanks."
Caroline's gaze remained on her computer screen.
"Ding——"
She successfully hacked into Longevity Hospital's system.
Caroline leaned back in her chair, picked up her water, and took a sip.
"Buzz buzz——"
Her phone kept vibrating.
She picked up her phone and opened it.
On Twitter, thanks to Caroline's "best friend" exposing her, she was once again ridiculed and boycotted.
Molly Martin V: [I just stood at the door of the emergency room, watching the surgery light turn on, and suddenly felt a chill in my heart.
We were friends for two years, but I never thought one of my good friends would interfere with another's relationship.
Sigh ... I hope Anna can be as her name suggests, safe and sound, just like before. [pray]]
[Thanks to Little Fairy Molly for always guarding our Anna at the emergency room door. Grateful.jpg]
[Is Anna alright? Which hospital is she in? Can we visit her?]
[Thinking of that bitch who caused our Anna to be hospitalized makes me want to rip her apart!]
[True friendship is hard to come by, Molly Martin staying by her side in the emergency room proves it. Not like those other fake friends in the entertainment industry who only care for appearances.]
[To be honest, even though I don't really like Anna Morrison, in comparison to that bitch Caroline, I'd prefer her to be our idol's girlfriend.]
...
Watching the endless chatter and online bickering, Caroline faintly smirked. "Plastic sisters indeed," she murmured.
She glanced at the comments, which were mainly ridiculing her and sympathizing with Anna.
They repeated the same insults over and over, and she quickly lost interest. She tossed her phone onto the table. "Whom the gods would destroy, they first make mad."
Caroline leaned back into her chair, her eyes cold and sharp.
She took off her cap and absentmindedly tapped her fingers on the table, her gaze fixed on her computer screen with amusement.
On the screen was Anna Morrison's medical record.
Caroline's lips curled, "What happened to the slit wrists and suicide? Instead, she had oral surgery in the emergency room? What a genius."
Since Molly Martin was so eager to offer up her head, she wouldn't blame Caroline for taking it.
She smirked and copied the information, then took out her phone to text Stitch Smith, [Sell this information to a paparazzi team, and consider the money you get from it your pocket money.]
Without asking what it was, Stitch agreed without hesitation,[Boss, I promise to accomplish the mission successfully.]
How dare they go against her; they're just asking for trouble.
Having done everything, Caroline leaned back in her chair, shutting down her laptop and putting it back into her bag.
Her actions were smooth, one after the other, with an air of effortlessness that was hard to ignore.
The customer seated nearby looked up and saw this, then took a sip of their milk tea, deep in thought.
"Please take your time."
She picked up her computer bag and sauntered out of the milk tea shop.
As Caroline left, a young girl sitting by the window sent a quick message and then rushed to the counter.
"Waiter, I'd like to check out."
"A cup of water, that'll be 5 dollars."
