His gaze glanced at Linn Daniel, who still stood tall and straight like a pine tree even after being struck.
He picked up the ferule and returned it to the shelf, "You have a medical kit in your room, go back and treat your wounds."
Linn's face was full of smiles, nodding respectfully without any hint of resentment, "Yes, father."
He knew his father's intentions were good, using the harshest means to force him to grow up quickly.
Instead of resenting his father, he was grateful. The growing process was painful, but only after one had grown to a certain height would one be qualified to compete with others.
And that qualification was something some mediocre people could never touch in their lives.
Swiftly.
Stopping in his tracks, he looked at Nathaniel Daniel, his eyes shining with a deep meaning as he asked, "Father, do you really believe she is our blood relative?"
Without waiting for a response, he pushed open the door and walked out of the study.
