Chapter 11
- Dayana -
I return to the cabin with a strange sensation in my chest and a little buzzing inside my ear. When I enter I see Morgana sitting on the floor holding Kay's hand, who is prostrate on the center table.
— I could find it thanks to the link we have — He raised his left hand and showed me an almost imperceptible line that crossed his palm — He was in what seemed to be a cabin, the place was very strange, it was cold — He said it with lost eyes in the wall — But as weird as it sounds, I felt comfortable, like I belonged there
I was speechless, I did not know how to respond to what she had said, I only managed to approach her and take her hand.
— It was Aradia again - She said in a low voice knowing that I was going to listen to her — So many years fleeing from her, from city to city, from country to country and when at last I find a place where we can be happy — Squeeze my hand and fix her gaze on me — She always comes back to ruin everything — She says with resentment in her voice — I don't know what I did to her, I don't know why she's looking for me, I'm not a powerful witch, I have to have my book aside to be able to protect myself, I am Orphan, I can not protect anything — She passes her gaze on Kay who is unconscious — If she had arrived a few minutes later, she could possibly be dead — Release my hands to cover her face from me.
— Hey, hey, calm down — I remove her hands from her face — Everything will be fine, she will be fine and so will we — I take her in my arms — Kay will be fine, we will too and we will get rid of Aradia for always, I promise you.
- Morgana -
The memory of the last time I had Aradia in front of me came to my mind, all the pain feels so real as if I was still feeling it, the pain of her words, the smell of fire ... Her feet walking towards me, closer and closer.
- Flashback -
The time has come, we have spent 3 years in this place and after that little lapse of peace, she found us, as she always does, sometimes I think that hell could be the only place where I can get rid of her and finally have peace.
Kay was outside finishing breaking our usual shield while I went back to going through my book over and over again, to be able to leave the other side of the world whole.
— Morgan! — Kay ran into the house straight to me — We have to go now!
— That? We still have a few hours left and this is not ready yet.
— Morgan, there is no time, she is here! — Time stopped for me for a few seconds, I may always wait for this moment, but it does not mean that I am ready for it.
— Morgan, let's go! — She Makes me get up quickly along with the book, trying to run away.
- Can you move us now? — She She tells me while we listen as they try to enter the house.
— I need a moment — I say moving the pages of the book at high speed.
— I'll give you time, but I don't assure you it will be much-She moves towards the door using her body as a lock, I moved my hands and my eyes fast, making my brain work quickly.
I can perfectly hear the sound of the wood breaking and Kay's body flying a few meters falling at my feet.
— You already have it?! — She yells at me from the ground.
— Yes, come on, run! — When I stooped I felt like a heat passed over my head, when I looked up there she was, a slight smile adorning her face.
— I have to admit it, getting to run from me for three years, should be considered a record — She said with derision as she approached us, her footsteps echoing throughout the house.
I was slowly positioning myself in front of Kay, preventing her from putting her attention there.
— I don't know what I have done to you, but please, leave us alone, we just want to have a quiet life — I say with a trembling voice.
She lets out a laugh deep in her throat.
— With the blood running through your veins, I doubt you'll ever have a quiet life — It's the last thing she says before running towards us.
Before coming to us she is stopped by an invisible wall.
— Damn brat! — She screams she as she tries to break through the wall.
— Kay, get up, let's go now — I pick up Kay from the ground and take my book.
—I'm going to destroy everything you love, before destroying you — she says with her gaze fixed on me — Starting with her — moving her gaze towards Kay.
"Praesidio tutum locum in quo habemus ad invenient ibimus"
And so she disappears from our sight.
When I look up I see a beautiful forest, with tall trees, the sound of the animals around us.
— It's beautiful — Kay says as she takes a big breath of air. "Where are we?"
— I don't know, I just thought of a safe place and where we would find protection — I took a breath and threw myself to the ground full of leaves, leaving aside what had just happened.
— Well, I don't know where we are, but I have a good feeling — She said as she threw herself next to me.
- End of Flashback -
— I think ... that that good feeling was you — I said to then take her face and finally kiss her, I could feel how I took her by surprise, but after a few seconds she answered me, she raised her hand to my neck making small circles, while I had my hand on his chest feeling his heart beat. I felt at peace, she is my safe place, that while I am with her nothing can scare me anymore. The softness and warmth of her mouth is my new favorite place.
— And I thought they would never do it, they have no respect for the injured — We parted when we heard Kay's voice from the table.
— Couldn't you be unconscious for another five minutes? — I said without looking at her, still staring into Dayana's gray eyes.
— You can continue, I can pretend that I am unconscious, do not worry about me, it is not as if a demon is about to suck my soul — She said with false indignation.
— Later we can talk more about — I pointed to out bodies — This — I gave him one last kiss on the cheek and turned my attention to Kay.
— ¿How you feel? ¿Better?
— With what you gave me I feel as if nothing had happened, but it was horrible, I was very afraid — He said with a slight tremor in his voice — It was very strong, with a single rose I could feel how it took everything out of me — I take my hand with strength.
— Easy, she won't hurt you anymore, I promise you — I took her in my arms tightly.
- Dayana -
I had felt a buzzing in my ear since I had returned from the forest, it was very annoying, but I was looking around and I could not even see and hear anything strange, maybe it was because of the blow that I hit the tree.
The silence was broken again by a howl.
— I have to go, Dad needs me — I told the girls to then kiss Morgan's cheek — Take care, anything, you know what to do — and I left the house without letting them say something.
I was running back home when I feel like I had hit an unbeatable wall, I was lying on the ground somewhat dizzy from the blow, when I feel as if lightning were going through my head, after that everything is black.
When I open my eyes again I find myself at the entrance of my house, I don't remember the path through the forest to here, I decided not to take it seriously, maybe I got lost in my thoughts and I don't remember it. When entering the house there is a whole movement of people from one place to another and my dad giving orders to everyone.
— We need to talk to that witch — Those words were what caught my attention — She could help us or she could be in all this.
— ¿What witch are you talking about? — I asked for.
— She who lives in a cabin in the woods —she said without taking her eyes off the table in front of him — She may help us to know what happened or what is happening.
— ¿What if we fix it on our own? — I said trying to take the attention away from her
— Being a good leader also means knowing when to ask for help, even so we have to put our differences aside — I could not say anything about that, he was right.
— Alone, they are not going to hurt him — I asked him.
— Let's hope we don't have to come to that
After the last thing he said I saw everyone go outside following my father, I heard the clothes tear and the movement of many legs in the direction of the forest, I could not leave Morgana alone now, and I went out together with them in the same direction .
