Whispers seemed to follow the royal family for the weeks after the second queen's funeral. The theories of the nobles floated around the palace and into the capital. The most popular belief was the second queen's death was orchestrated by the king after failing to give him a son after many years.
Others believed the accident was caused by the first queen. Admittedly, there was a small percentage of people who believed Sam's mother had a hand in the second queen's death, but they were all baseless conjecture. After the initial investigation, the subject was altogether dropped.
There was not an official answer that was given as to who poisoned the second queen.
Sam himself would have never come to the conclusion on who it was that killed the second queen. He was none the wiser until he stumbled upon the truth one bright morning when he went to visit his mother.
