"It took some time, but I finally managed to procure this plant," Sam watched as his mother proudly presented to him a red clay pot with a rather drab-looking plant. Besides its big serrated edge leaves that sprouted from the stems, there was no remarkable characteristic to it that separated this herb from all the rest.
His green eyes went from the plant to his mother as her face was alight with such satisfaction. He tried his best to wipe the doubtful look from his face but nothing could get past his mother's watchful eyes.
"Do you not believe me?" Her face evolved into an expression of shock. Her white garden hat shaded her face from the sun's rays as they were spending their time outdoors. Queen Annabel's garden was a wonderous sight, complete with flowers of every type. It was as if the place had escaped from a storybook.
