Fleetwood Mac was playing, her favorite band. She was sitting at the bar, unwinding after a long day of unpacking. She wasn't really a drinker, but she needed to get out. It had been a long day and she probably looked like a hot mess. Mara was actually hoping she did, because she didn't want to be bothered tonight.
But even though she felt disheveled, she was sexy in a I'm not even trying way. Mara was 42, petite but her legs were toned in her short overalls and her breasts were full. You could see the outline of them peering out of her tank top under the overalls. Her blond bob made her look so cute and certainly made her stand out from all the long haired southern ladies. She would never dress so casual in a bar back home on the East Coast. But here in Knoxville, Tennessee where she had just moved, she would fit in just fine.
A couple of guys had already tried to pick her up, but were politely declined. He was with some friends staring at her from across the room, watching the other guys get rejected and he smiled happily. He realized she was getting ready to leave soon and decided to make his move.
Mara turned around and they bumped into each other, his drink spilled on his shirt a little. "Oh geez, I'm sorry," she said. She looked up at this handsome man, he had hazel eyes and dark brown wavy hair. A dimple on his right cheek like god had put it there to top off his handsome face. "Oh, no worries, I was actually coming up to get another drink. You look like you could use another one too, Could I buy you one?... Sam," he introduced himself as he reached his hand out.
He was super handsome, she had to give him that. But he looked young or at least younger than her. Although she could easily pass for someone in her 30's, Mara figured he was twenty something...She looked around and saw some younger girls sitting to the right of the bar. She shook his hand and then let go.
"Well, that's sweet of you, but I think your request might be more suited for the kids table over there," she smiled. "But I really am sorry about your drink. She reached in her bag and pulled out a few bills and handed them to the bartender, "Can you replace his drink, whatever he wants. Thanks hun."
She turned around to leave, but he lightly grabbed her on the elbow. "The kids table," he laughed. "I have to say I've never heard that one. How old do you think I am?" Mara looked at him with a coy smile. "I'm not sure babe, but not old enough for me," and she she went to walk away.
"I didn't see an expiration date on your head. What's the problem babe? Worried you can't keep up." he yelled. Mara stood still where she was. Looking at this man who was starting to piss her off. But at the same time she found him playful and sexy as hell.
All of a sudden one of his friends came up, "Ms. is this asshole bothering you, " he laughed. "He doesn't get out much, we don't let him leave the squad car." The guy was clearly buzzed and cracked himself up." "Ok.. Wiley old man, let's get you back to the Mrs." Sam was patting his back, when their group of friends walked over, '' we got him Sam, don't worry. We'll drop him off for ya". "Thanks Adam," Sam shook his hand.
Your friend's funny ha?" Mara smirked. Sam laughed. " Yeah my partner actually, sorry about that." "It's ok, it's been fun but my Uber's here I really have to go." Sam looked confused. "Uber..no..no.no listen as an officer of the law I can't let you take an Uber home. I mean those guys, you can't trust them." Mara laughed. "Ha, I say the same thing to my daughter" Daughter? wow ok Sam thought, let's make a mental note of that…"but I can trust you?" she asked curiously. "Scout's honor" he said.
