Thank you for your time! :) Oh, and I'm sorry if I don't upload daily since this is my first time creating a novel and I really want to execute this perfectly if possible. :) This should belong to the "#romance" section but the tags refused to allow me put it on romance and only kept showing me "#noromance" so yeah.

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Death

Isabella Dominique's POV

It was a very peaceful morning as the sun rose, the breeze felt cold as I opened the door, ready to go to work. I yawned as I walk to the convenience store, ten minutes away from the apartment I live in and for some reason, I feel that a tragedy is about to erupt sooner or later.

After arriving, I changed into my working clothes and switched with the guy working on the night shift. The day went normally, things being placed on the wrong slot, Karens complaining and teenagers who pretend to look around to buy something, but is only here for the cool air of the air conditioner.

Time flew like the wind and my shift was over by the time I knew it. After changing clothes and switching shifts, snow that wasn't mentioned by the weather forecaster began pouring from the sky as I walked out of the convenience store.

"Haa... I knew something bad was gonna happen." I quoted as I wore my hood and walked home.

I heard a squeal coming from the alley for a split second. A shiver went down my spine as I peeked to see what was happening. A little girl that looked like she was at the age of 5 was being harassed by a drunkard. I called 911 for help as I peeked and told immediately told them the situation.

"Psychopath! What do you think you're doing?!" I yelled after kicking the drunkard away from the little girl.

I told the little girl to flee as I bought time, the little girl trembled in fear as the drunkard got back up on his feet.

"Leave!" I quoted to the little girl as I glanced for a second at her.

The little girl fled from the scene and when I turned my eyes back to the drunkard he was already before me, I froze for a second in shock delaying my reaction time. He swung the empty bottle of beer at me. It shattered into fragments of glass upon hitting me. I tried to keep my composure despite the bleeding I was experiencing first-hand. I immediately pushed him away when I heard sirens from the alley's entrance closing in.

I ran weakly as I held the part of my head which was bleeding, leaving the drunkard on the floor.

My consciousness started to deplete and fade as I ran.

"Freeze!!" the police shouted from the entrance of the alley while pointing their guns.

When the police appeared I collapsed on the ground from losing too much blood, my vision started to decrease and my surroundings started to blur.

As my temperature and consciousness started going down the drain I heard the little girl's soft voice.

"Lady! Lady! Wake up!" The little girl shouted as the ambulance came to rescue me.

I embraced her face with my palm as I felt her droplets of tears touching my skin as I finally lost my last bit of consciousness.

"Isabella... Isabella! Oh, my sweet baby... Wake up" words that have been spoken by a familiar voice.

A warm palm embraced me as I opened my eyes slowly. As the blurry image of the persons before me sharpened. A person I never thought I would be able to meet again appeared before my very eyes.

"Am... I dreaming...?" I weakly voiced as I sat in this field of trumpet creepers.

"Mom... Dad..." I quoted as I jumped to their arms hugging them while shedding tears of joy.

"We don't have much time left" my father quoted as he wiped the tears from my eyes.

"What... do you mean...?" I replied anxiously.

"Don't worry we'll always be by your side" she replied as she smiles weakly as she caressed my hair.

"Just call our name and we'll be there." they hugged me as he wiped the tears from his eyes.

"Wait! No! I still want to..." I said as my existence started to fade.

"...Stay." I quoted as I shed my last bit of tears while hugging them.

I disappeared after saying those last words. When I once again regained my consciousness I was in a dark place I could hear people shouting different numbers as if they were bidding for something.
