Chapter 43 - SECRET

(SENYO POV)

I was too proud to ask Nara to go alone to Mrs. Ranti's house. So, secretly I came alone after taking Clarin to her office. At first I wanted to directly say hello to Mrs. Ranti. But before my steps were noticed by them, I heard that Nara and her mother were discussing serious matters. I became interested and secretly eavesdropped.

How shocked I was after knowing that I had been treated for two years by Mrs. Ranti. In fact, I also helped her to take care of Nara. Something even more surprising was revealed. Apparently Mrs. Ranti and father have a special relationship. They are a pair of ex-lovers who failed to marry.

Without further ado, I immediately approached Mrs. Ranti at her desk and questioned the truth. At that time, my father-in-law told his story in more detail.

It's been revealed why I can love Mrs. Ranti while Nara can't. Apparently she had cared for me for two whole years. I hugged her frail body and I didn't feel my tears falling. I didn't care about Nara who was watching me while giggling.

Mrs. Ranti ordered me to go to work immediately. It's not that she kicked me out, but she just wanted me to be a disciplined human being. Unfortunately, Mrs. Ranti even asked Nara to come with me. Like it or not, I have to comply with her orders. I don't want Mrs. Ranti to know how I actually behaved with Nara.

The car sped towards the super market after we said goodbye to Mrs. Ranti. I had no intention of taking Nara home at all. Let her drop on the side of the road.

I watched Nara from the rearview mirror when she glanced back and forth at me. Like something to say.

"What is it?" I asked breaking the silence.

"You should not torture me, because my mother has been kind enough to take care of You,"

I almost choked and stopped the car because of Nara's words. What kind of statement is that? She took a chance? Damn girl!

"You feel tortured with me?"

"Didn't You ever notice?" Nara reversed my question.

"Nara, you should have come to your senses. It was Mother who took care of me, not you. This has nothing to do with you. So, I will be sweet only to Mrs. Ranti only. Besides, didn't you hear that I used to take care of you often? You should be the one who is devoted to me, not the other way around."

"You could die without my mother,"

"Ah! You really are stupid."

Nara's brain is so slow. Did she not understand my explanation just now? I just got more and more annoyed. I'd love to put her down, but we're not too far from Mrs. Ranti's residence. It's dangerous if I leave her here.

I speed up the vehicle. No worries even though we were crossing a bridge filled with other transportation.

"You should treat me like a wife,"

Suddenly Nara's last words made my blood boil. How rude of her! I was so furious, I turned my head and held my left arm up high. I wanted to teach her a lesson by pulling her hair out. When I tried to grab his head, my car suddenly lost control. I quickly faced forward, but it was too late. The last sight I saw was of a roadblock that seemed to be getting closer. Following with Nara's shout from behind.

"Sir. watch out! Aaaaaaaargh!"

The gleam of the sun peeking into the room through the window lit up my eye. I don't know how long I slept. Now, I'm in a room that smells of drugs. The last thing I remember is that my car fell into the river.

"Senyo, are you awake?"

Hearing that voice made my eyes flash. Apparently I was surrounded by father, Mother and Mrs. Ranti. Their faces were pale looking at me. Then I looked around the room one more time.

There is only one patient gurney, where is Nara? I was with her at the time.

"How did I get here?" I asked everyone.

"Senyo, just so you know! You had an accident after picking up your damn wife at Ranti's house," Mother said emotionally.

"Watch your mouth, Runi! Don't look for any more trouble."

Instantly, father's eyes widened. He aimed for Mrs. Ranti who did not move at all. Ah, it reminded me of the last chat with my in-laws. Does mother know that father is actually Mrs. Ranti's ex-lover?

"Senyo, yesterday I heard that your car had an accident. You hit the barrier, then entered the river."

Yesterday? That means I passed out for a full 12 hours.

"How are you, Senyo? Is there any pain on the inside?" Mrs. Ranti asked in a panicked tone.

"I'm just in shock. So far there's nothing to worry about."

I am so grateful that God still gives me the opportunity to see the world. I only feel pain in the legs and shoulders.

"Where's Nara?" Finally, the question was asked. None of them were sensitive to explain the woman's condition.

"Why ask about Nara? Wasn't she the cause of all this?" snapped Mom.

Maybe Mother thought that I had deliberately picked up Nara at her mother's house. In fact, I did follow her. I also remember a few seconds before that tragic incident. I tried to pull Nara's hair to teach her a lesson.

"Nara is in the next room. Let's go, father."

Father helped me to get off the gurney. Brought a wheelchair and pushed me out of the room. One hand grabbed the doorknob. The next second, I saw a woman with a bloody bandage on her head.

"Nara suffered serious injuries to the head. When found, its position protrudes forward. Nara bounced and hit the dashboard, because she wasn't wearing a seat belt." Father explained.

Father pushed the wheelchair into the room, so I could see Nara's pale face more clearly. Her eyes were closed. I don't know if Nara is asleep or still unconscious.

Not long after, Mrs. Ranti also appeared in our midst. I feel guilty for hurting his son.

"Why is Nara's room here?" Usually a husband and wife will be in the same room if they are both sick.

"Your mother doesn't agree," Father replied irritably.

Nara was fast asleep. I don't know why my heart suddenly touched to see her condition like this. Am I caring for her? Uh, no-no. I can't drop the slightest sympathy. I should be happy. That way, her face will no longer be in my house.

"Don't let my son get unlucky for being by Nara's side!"

The three of us both turned our heads when Mother's voice greeted us from the doorway. The half-century woman grabbed a wheelchair and carried me away. Father and Mrs. Ranti did not dissuade. They must have let mother do whatever she wanted to avoid a fuss.

"Mother, does You know that actually father and Mrs. Ranti are..." The sentence just came out without planning. Made she stops what she was doing and crouch in front of me.

"What's the matter with your father and Ranti?" she hissed sharply.

Kill! I missed it.
