Adrian knew nothing about his family's compromise. If he knew , things may happen differently. But there is no 'if' in real life situation and no medicine for regret.
Paul didn't have to take full an hour for his investigation. He completed his search with in 40 minutes. Then he reached Adrian's office for report.
In meantime Lucas received a call from Mary. Adrian saw it but could not recognized name. Because Lucas saved Mary's name to 'Darling Allen '.
" hi my dearest darling. how are you?" Lucas talked like happy child.
" I'm fine idiot. where are you? is it convenient for you talk? it's a important things." Mary said with serious tone.
" I'm with my best-friend. you can talk to me." Lucas said.
" actually we have to go City D for our fashion show in this month and our show clashed with my engagement. everything was fine yesterday but we get a news that company couldn't make things right as our wishes. date is fixed 15th February and my engagement is 12th February. so can you talk to hospital about our leave matter. we need the whole month's leave. three of us have a lot of work right now. also lend me your private jet for our work issue." Mary said with begging tone.
" that not a problem for me. I'll talk to my secretary and tonight you'll get your jet. also don't worry. I'll talk hospital's director & Dean for three of yours month leave. you guys can enjoy your time. by the way where is Albert? why you begging me for these things?" Lucas said.
" thanks idiot. come to my house tonight and I'll feed you some good food. Albert already left city last night. he is super busy and I don't want to disturb him. also he gave Mellie his position in his absence. so you know how much things is going on right now. only you're the free guy right now. I'm hanging up right now. I'm kinda busy with my show preparation. see you tonight. bye." Mary said with hurried tone and the moment she completed her conversation she cut the call.
Lucas somehow got stupified. what's going on with his darling Allen. his darling care Albert more than him. what a bad luck. that Albert bastard got full attention from Mary. at the thought of these Luca's face became ugly.
Adrian heard all the conversation but couldn't understand the whole situation. He got one thing right that Albert & Lucas were connected to this Allen lady and that lady cared Albert more than Lucas. Adrian somehow got jealous. But he didn't know this jealousy, just felt uncomfortable for himself.
Adrian saw Lucas ugly face and got some satisfaction. this Lucas guy mocked him with Albert & his quarrel , now Lucas got a demotion from his darling because of Albert. that's called satisfaction.
When Lucas saw Adrian's childish smile and teasing face for him , he got mad. How could his best friend do this to him? His best friend Adrian didn't know that at least he got position in his fiancée's heart but he, Adrian didn't have any position. Adrian , you just wait for your doom when you learned about position. thinking all about this Luca's mood got suddenly cheerful and revealed a satisfactory smile.
When Adrian saw Lucas's smile , he somehow had a bad premonition. like something was gonna happen in future , he couldn't think about it right now. but he suddenly felt his good mood was gone.
