Alchemist is those who transform or creates something through a seemingly magical process. They make potion or rather engage in making elixir, changing chemical properties in a mysterious and secretive way, they more resemble like a high level research scientist.
Mages make use of mana to procure their abilities. Alchemist used a more secretive profound spiritual method. Alchemy is used to alter or modify while mana is used to invent.

He seem to always loose his cool and demeanor whenever he saw her, although the amount of time he saw her in person could be count in hand, maybe because he the amount of time he saw her are too rare, he is not used to seeing her and restrain his hatred.
He was out, inspecting the soldiers and arrangement for the battle when Emilia along with her bodyguard approached her. Of course, the person he look up whom he felt disappointment to but also admiration, sword master William was with her as well.
It was said that Sword Master William and Flynn were always with Princess Emilia, rarely leaving her side.
Emilia frown get deeper, she took out the royal insignia which her uncle gave her to used when she found herself in a position people will not listen to her, it seems she has to used it earlier then she expected. Stubborn people are annoying and Emilia found explaining her unreasonable action more arduous. It's better to be misunderstood or thought in any whatever way then bother explaining herself.

Emperor Alanol has made and thoroughly prepared things for Emilia so that she will always have an easier life.

He want Emilia to use her one time royal insignia so that she will not used it later to make an unreasonable demand that might be detrimental in their planning for the war. She was a Royal princess as well as the Royal physician so she has to also be told some of the war plan.
Of course, Herald was not really expecting her to use her one time royal insignia at such a trivial case. 'Guess he undermines her stupidity and thought that she has some brain'. The emperor spoiled her rotten.

Flynn then passes another two seed towards Collen Venil, the advisor for this war.
Collen gave a breezy smile while taking the seed smilingly.
