Chapter 6 - Chapter Six | Escape

~George's P.O.V~

"Clay, no!" I jumped away from the Alpha.

He turned around and shifted into his wolf form. "Turn into your wolf form," he snarled, pacing in front of me.

Though I didn't want to obey the Alpha, I knew I didn't have much of a choice. I shifted, growling back at the large Alpha in front of me.

"Run!" He barked.

I glared at him for a moment before trotting out the door. As soon as I hit the grassy ground, I picked up speed, then settled into a slow sprint. This was a twisted game to him. He loved the blood-pumping thrill of running after his Omega.

When I couldn't smell the Alpha, I slowed into a trot, panting loudly. I didn't know how far the Alpha was or when he was going to chase me.

I ran up to a small stream, taking a lap at the fresh, cool water before laying down and licking at my grazed paw pads.

I heard a yowl in the distance. Clay is coming.

I let out a low growl before breaking into a fast sprint away.

As soon as I caught a whiff of his scent, I knew I couldn't slow down. I snatched glances behind me to make sure he wasn't on my trail.

"Oh, George! Come here, George!" He yelled out, his voice echoing through the trees. I ran faster, my paws thrumming on the forest floor. I could hear the vibrations of his paws too.

I stole a glance. A flash of dark grey fur whizzed past the corner of my eye as Clay slowly gained ground.

He was taunting me!

"Clay! Go away!" I yelled back at him. He shook his head and continued forward. I was going to have to lose him, smart as he was.

He took every shortcut when I went around a corner. With every move I made, he was three leaps ahead of me.

I felt as if the Alpha was holding back just for the chase. "Please! I'm tired!" I panted.

The response came closer than I would have liked. "Then stop running, omega!"

The Alpha pulled up beside me. I tried to gain speed, but my legs wouldn't move any faster than his. The Alpha finally had enough and passed me, turning and cutting me off.

I slid into the dirt, turning left to attempt to go in the opposite direction. But as I passed him, he grabbed onto the scruff of my neck.

I laid limply in his jaws, gasping for air. "Fine! Fine! You got me!"

He was content he had won.

"Please, Alpha, let me go," I begged him, laying weakly in his grasp.

"Not 'till we get home. I can't risk you running away again." His speech was muffled by my fur. He set a light trot, then moved into a sprint.

When we arrived back, he dropped me on the floor of his bedroom. I was about to run until he let out a deep growl. "Don't you dare leave!" Startled, I lowered myself to the floor, pulling my tail near my haunches.

He nuzzled at my scent gland. I stepped back from the Alpha. "Clay, no." I stepped back until I was against the wall.

He glared at me. "You're losing my scent, George."

"Does it look like I care?" I growled. His head darted forward like a snake, his jaws outstretched. He bit into my sent gland, causing me to yelp.

As soon as he released me, I ran, locking myself in his room. I changed back, touching the sore skin on my neck. "Damn Alpha." I let out a growl, wincing.

I went to bed and laid down. Gross, the bed smells like him. I gave out a deep sigh. Just sleep!

-

When I woke up, the Alpha's scent tinged my nose. I jumped out of bed, glaring at him. He was also in the bed.

"Go away."

He frowned. "Why can't you just accept the fact that you've been claimed? It's not that hard; it'll be easier if you just submit." Instead of answering, I left the room in a storm.

It irked me that he thought that everything was normal and okay, even though I was uncomfortable and he knew it. I could never understand his motives! Was it just instinct, or was he just like this?

When I finally decided to face the Alpha, I opened the door, walking in. "Clay?"

After looking around the house, I concluded that he was no longer here. Thank God.

Now was my chance to get out of here, but where would I go? It's not like I can go back to my parents. Maybe I could go to Xaffo's house and say that Clay had let me come? No, Clay would never let me- but a little lie never hurt anyone.

Right?

I decided on my plan: calling a taxi. It was a pathetic plan, but it would have to work.

I waited nervously. What if Clay found out? I had to keep my hopes up.

I smiled as a taxi pulled up. I gave the taxi driver Bad's location and we set off. As we drove, I debated on going back. Clay would be mad if I left. He would be really mad, but I wasn't going back.

The taxi arrived at Xaffo's house. Thanking the driver, I handed them their pay and a tip, then hastily jumped out of the car and walked up to Xaffo's front door. I knocked, waited for a moment or two, then the door opened, revealing Xaffo.

"George!" Xaffo greeted me happily. I smiled, hugging him. He let go. "Where's your Alpha?"

Uh, oh.

"He let me come over, he had some stuff to do," I lied. Xaffo nodded, letting me in the house.

Finally, a break from the Alpha.

I felt free; able to do what I wanted since I was claimed. The house was nicely decorated and had a high ceiling, making me feel like I had lots of room.

A loud bang came from the front of the house. We jumped, startled. Xaffo shook himself out of a daze and started for the door. "I'll get it," he called. I followed slowly, guessing who could be at the door.

Xaffo opened the door, revealing a very angry Alpha. I froze in fear, shuffling behind Xaffo.

He took a few steps into the house. "Let's go! We're leaving now!" He grabbed my arm, violently pulling me with him. Xaffo stumbled away, concern stricken on his face.

"Ow, ow! You're hurting me!" I whined, but he didn't care enough to stop.

I knew he was furious. I did leave out of the blue, but I needed a break. "Can you at least listen to me? Give me a chance instead of being angry?" I pleaded as he opened the car door and pushed me inside. I noticed that he put his hand on my head to keep it from slamming against the automobile.

What should I say? Was there anything to say?

"Please,Clay, just let me go."

He didn't say a word as he drove me back home. His knuckles were white as he gripped the steering wheel, driving erratically.

Once we got home, he dragged me to his room, pinning me against the wall. "You stupid, stupid Omega!" He hissed. I cowered in fear in his tight grip.

"Clay, please... Let me go... Y-you're scaring me."

He let out a deep growl. "I'm scaring you? I'm scaring you?" He raised his voice the second time. "You took off! For all I knew, you could've been taken by some other Alpha! Do you know how worried I was?"

He knew I was scared, but it didn't change the position I was in. "I know, I just needed a break. Y-y'know..."

"You left without telling me!" He gripped my arm harder, his nails drawing blood. He could care less.

"I left because you wouldn't have let me go if I did tell you!"

He growled, his nose scrunching.

What was I thinking?
