~George's P.O.V~
I finally woke up, panting loudly. What was wrong with me?
"Clay!" I called out desperately. When the Alpha didn't come, I helped myself get out of the bed. I tumbled to the floor, groaning. "Clay!" I yelled again.
Nothing.
I pushed myself off of the ground, slowly making my way out of the room with a tired limp. Sweat was thickening my coat. "Clay!" I called out, hoping he could hear me.
I collapsed, shuddering in pain. "Clay!" I cried. "Please," I said, weakly. I heard the quick patter of paws as Clay slid his way into the room, noticing me on the ground and running to me.
"Clay..." I whimpered.
"George, what the hell are you doing?" He grabbed me by the scruff, hoisting me up.
"Clay! What is wrong with me?" I begged. He had to know something. Clay always knew.
"I'll explain once we get back to your nest." He spoke calmly while I let out a groan. He placed me back into my 'nest'.
I curled into a tight ball. "What is happening?" I whined.
The Alpha let out a deep sigh. "George... You're in heat."
I shook my head. "No! I'm not!" I let out a grumble, readjusting myself in my blankets.
The Alpha shook his head. "I'm sorry, George."
I let out a whine. "I'm not ready for pups!"
Clay nuzzled me, disappointment in his voice. "I know... and I'm not either. So I'm not going to."
I glared up at him in complete and happy disbelief. "You're not going to mate me?" I questioned.
He shook his head, emitting a weak smile. "No, George, I'm not."
I didn't know what to say so instead, I showed my gratitude by nuzzling the Alpha.
"But that doesn't mean this won't be a living hell for you. Your body wants nothing more than to be mated."
I nodded my head.
"And for me, it will be just as hard- if not harder. It's very difficult for an Alpha to ignore an Omega in heat," he explained.
I nodded again. "Will we be able to pull this off?"
The Alpha shook his head, unsure. "I'm not too sure, but we will try."
I let out a stiff sigh.
"Here's how things are going to go. If the urge gets too strong on either of us, I will leave the room, or you will ask me to leave the room, okay?"
I nodded, listening closely, trying to ignore the constant aching pain.
"It will be best if I stay with you as much as possible, my scent should help you a bit."
I can do this. "Thank you, Clay."
He smiled, nuzzling and buffing his sweet honey scent against me. I deepened my already-existing smile, taking in the Alpha's scent. I knew it would get worse from here, but at least there wouldn't be pups. And that's all that matters.
...
I rolled onto my back. "George, what are you doing?" The Alpha laughed.
"Shut up! I'm going through a lot!" I panted. "Can't you like, do something? I'm dying from heat exhaustion!"
He let out a tea-kettle wheeze. "George, we have ten fans in here, you have a fever."
I rolled my eyes, pulling my body back over on my side. "Water then?"
He rolled his eyes, shaking his head. "You're going to need to pee after drinking all this water."
I whacked the alpha slightly. "Just go get me god damn water! Be a good mate!"
He sighed, getting up. As he got up, I immediately got cold, but it was soon back to scolding hot. As soon as he was gone, I instantly wanted him back.
He trotted back into the room and I looked up. "Clay! Get your ass over here."
He let out a slight growl. "Sorry George, but my ass is in a bad position."
"Clay!" I screeched, making the Alpha chuckle.
"Sorry, instinct." He cuddled back against me.
"You're dumb," I giggled. It was only day one, so it was somewhat manageable. But knowing there would be more of this made me cringe. "Clay?"
He looked over at me.
"Can you do that thing with your scent? You did it when Charlie was here. My scent is kind of unbearable."
He laughed. "Yeah, of course."
Soon, my scent was just a background smell. I took in the Alpha's scent. It was much stronger than the calming scent. It had no honey to it, it was pure dark chocolate. Almost felt like I was suffocating, but I loved it.
"Clay? What does this scent mean?"
He nuzzled me. "It's a claiming scent, it to warn others that you're mine. It's also used to block out any other scents that I don't want there. Usually, it isn't this intense but just like my father's, our scent is much stronger than others, showing that we are lead Alphas, or as my father calls us, Ultas. Our genes are only the best of the best."
I nodded my head. "So, I have quite a reputation to keep up then," I laughed nervously.
"Yeah, but you, George, you are the first male Omega in our family tree."
I rolled my eyes. "Of course I am."
He shook his head. "You're not too bad, George." The Alpha smiled. "You're special, George. I have never met anyone like you."
I blushed. I'm wasn't sure if it was because of my stupid heat or the Alpha's words. "Yeah, okay, shut up."
He chuckled. I turned towards him. "What other scents do you Alpha's have?"
He let off a smile. "The calming scent, of course, you have smelt that before. Usually, Alphas have fear-scents, but Ultas never release it because it's hard to make us fear something or someone," he chuckled, hinting at something. "There's also the scent of submission, which we also don't use."
I shook my head, nervously laughing. "So basically, you know you're better than everyone else?"
He laughed. "Yeah, pretty much." He licked me slightly before speaking up again. "Both the calming and claiming scent can be mixed together to help an Omega in heat, but since you want your scent to be blocked out so bad, I'm mainly using my claiming scent."
I nodded, taking in his dark chocolate scent again. "Yours is better than mine, anyway."
He laughed loudly. "Yours is sweeter than mine."
I shook my head, ignoring the Alpha. "Too sweet, makes me want to barf." I fake gagged. "It smells like caramel." I jumped into his thoughts. "I hate caramel." He giggled and I followed, letting us both break out in laughter.
I knew it was going to get worse quickly, but I wanted to enjoy the calm while it was there.
