Glenn had no other choice but to confess about the six eyed being in the depths of his thoughts, Saroth. He told them that he made a deal with him and that Saroth would keep his word just like what he did when Glenn lost control.
"So, basically, something is living inside of you," Gina thought out loud. "But we don't feel any aura or energy radiating from him, unlike when he took full control of you."
"Saroth has a tremendously terrifying aura that had reached the entire span of the forest," John said. "Even the nearby cities must've been aware of the aura that Saroth had exuded."
"That is why we need to leave this tribe soon," Glenn said. "We still don't know what capabilities does the cities have. They might have trackers that could sense aura from afar and detect its exact location."
Just after Glenn said that, the door busted open and Lapis came running towards them. "I have terrible news, Heroes Glenn, Gina, and John."
–
"What is that?" Lapis asked as they watched a huge cloud of flying horses approach them. Their numbers were so high that it looked like a giant ball of cloud was approaching them.
"The Sky Equestrian Knights," Glenn answered. "They're from another kingdom which borders this forest. They must be here for Saroth."
"Sky Equestrian Knights from Kassos," Gina hummed. "I remember them. They're the antagonist for the second arc. We mustn't trust them."
When Lapis was sent by Glenn to warn the tribe, he was left with Gina and John. They were talking about the role that the Sky Equestrian Knights played in God's Omen.
"In the middle of the main storyline when hunting the second General, Bagras, the Sky Equestrian Knights would betray the player," Glenn said. "They want to harness power and that included Bagras's sleeping form."
"Is that why they came here?" John asked. "Because they felt Saroth, they want to take his power too."
"Yes," Glenn said. "Kassos is a kingdom ruled by a tyrant who's power hungry. They will always find a way to get their source of power even if it meant taking it from the darkness."
"Saroth had an incredibly pure dark energy and they still wanted it," Gina sighed. "Kassos is desperate."
"No, they're only preparing," Glenn said. "Fourth arc, hunting for General Baylor. Kassos will be wiped out from the map after the battle of Generoso Empire. Because the player stopped them from taking General Bagras, they will be defeated."
"So hypothetically they took Saroth, they will also take Bagras and then defeat Generoso Empire?" John asked. "That would alter the entire storyline."
"And that's why we mustn't let them," Glenn said. "We don't have to worry about them disappearing from the map. The citizens were evacuated long before the war."
Neigh! Neigh!
A much larger flying horse approached Glenn's party. A knight with a golden armor was riding the horse. He took his helmet off, revealing a young handsome man with a bright smile.
"Hello there," the knight greeted. "We are the Sky Equestrian Knights from the Kingdom of Kassos. We're here to investigate about a very stranger power detected here not long ago."
"We don't know what you are talking about," Glenn replied. "We're here since last week, but we haven't felt anything."
"Oh," the knight formed an O with his mouth and nodded. "But every other kingdom has detected the aura. Perhaps, are you lying to me?"
"Why would I lie?" Glenn said. "We're just here to chill with the tribesme–"
"You're Adventurers," the knight pointed out. "If the three of you really are, I don't know why you have to meddle with this world's business. You're sent here to defeat the Dark Lord, not interfere with this world's trade."
Glenn wanted to scoff, but he stopped himself. This knight was the current commander of the Sky Equestrian Knights, but Glenn knew that his life wouldn't be long as he will be killed and replaced by another after he opposed to harnessing General Bagras's power.
"Joaquin," Glenn sighed. "Or should I say, Commander Joaquin. Let me tell you that I'm not lying."
"You even know my name," Joaquin brandished his sword while narrowing his eyes and smiling. "Perhaps, I shall take you on as the one who possess that power?"
"What if I am?" Glenn smirked. "What will you do?"
"I have to get rid of you, of course," Joaquin said. "For the greater good. Your power will not do this world any good."
"Do you have any proof that I hold that power?" Glenn asked. This made Joaquin return his sword into its sheath as he narrow his eyes.
"So you deny the allegations?" Joaquin asked. "Are you not the cause of the force that trembled the kingdoms around this forest?"
Glenn sighed and opened his palm. "Tree of Life."
He created the small tree that the knights watched grow. The small tree made of light had a soft feature and it is in no way connected to the darkness in their own perspective.
"You're a healer," Joaquin said. "And your companions?"
"I'm a Druid," Glenn corrected. "My friends are an assassin, Rogue, and a mage, Enchanter."
"We would be suspecting the mage, but an enchater couldn't possibly produce such aura," Joaquin sighed. "I am sorry for the intrusion. I will take the knights with me and we shall take our leave now."
"But I'm still curious," Glenn said. "How did you detect this location?"
"We don't disclose that information just with anybody else," Joaquin said. "But now we must–"
The ground shook and the birds leaped out of the trees. It seemed like Saroth's aura did not only attract humans, but also all the manner of dark creatures.
"That's a…" Joaquin trailed off. "Everyone, defense formation!"
The knights formed a sphere in their ranks and the outer part of the sphere was made of shields. "That's a Blue Cervusus. Be careful," Joaquin said. "It has an extremely high damage output."
The Blue Cervusus looked just like its Red counterpart. However, it had more thorns on its body and was a huge leap away from the other one in terms of power.
"Prepare Water Jet and Lightning Fork!" Joaquin commanded. "When it fires its beam, launch the Water Jet and overpower it. When the water spreads all over its body, roast it with the Lightning Fork!"
"Yes!" the knights yelled back. They started their preparations while Glenn stayed silent.
He was more than impress on how Joaquin could calmly order his men even at the face of such a dangerous creature.
"It's a shame he'll die soon," Glenn whispered to himself and shook his head.
