Einar quickly caught up to the group, but he did not overtake them, as he ran together with the class. He was very interested in getting to the second floor, but he did not mind taking it slow until he needed to sprint.
The teacher saw that Einar had it too easy, and he had an idea of how to make it harder for Einar. He made a small hand gesture, as a magic circle formed above Einar's head.
It was very well hidden, so no one noticed anything out of place, besides everyone was focusing on getting first place.
Einar felt that his body suddenly got a lot heavier. He felt his weight doubled, which was not something he would take likely. This would be a massive hindrance to his running speed and his stamina.
He looked over to the teacher and saw him smiling at him. This made it so Einar knew that the teacher had done something. Einar smiled back, as he accepted this challenge, this was also a good chance to train a little.
He started to put more strength into his legs and started running faster. Now he did not feel like following the group, he felt like pushing himself to win this race.
It surprised the teacher to see that he got quicker rather than slower. His face showed a lot more fatigue, but he still had a bright smile.
'He is pushing himself!' The teacher thought to himself. 'Not hard enough though!' He thought as the pressure he was putting on Einar was increasing.
When he saw that Einar had started to slow down, he stopped increasing the weight. He wanted all his students to have fair grounds. Einar was much stronger than all the others, so he had to endure much more weight.
Einar was thinking it was a little unfair, but he didn't want to back down from a challenge.
He kept on running, his speed was about the same as the group behind him. Luckily for him, he was in the first place, even with all this extra weight.
After having rung for 6 kilometers, he could feel his stamina starting to be an issue. His legs were getting heavy, and it felt like he was dragging them.
It was not the weight doing this, but his own body trying to sabotage him. He did not want to give up though, as he forced his body to keep going at the same pace.
At seven kilometers, he was very tired, and it was obvious on his face. He had been running with good speed, even though his stamina was getting the better of him. He was still in the first place, running at the same speed.
After the seventh kilometer, his legs were starting to cramp up. Einar was thinking he was about to lose when he suddenly felt a burst of energy.
The limit breaker skill just kicked in. It did not just give him a boost in stamina, but it also gave him a decent amount of speed. He was suddenly starting to run away from the group behind him.
at the eighth kilometer, the limit breaker boost he got before was still there. He was starting to feel the downside of the skill though. The pain had started to come from the legs.
At the ninth kilometer, the pain was getting severe. He felt like someone was grabbing onto them, as he twisted on them. He felt like every step, was breaking a new bone.
This did not make him give up though, he had gotten this far now, how far could the skill limit breaker get him?
at 9,5 kilometers, he could barely endure the pain in his legs anymore. His body was giving in. He was very close to fainting. He did not even know why he kept going himself. 'Am I doing this for the first floor of the library? No! Am I doing this to prove myself to the teacher? No! Then why am I going this far?' Einar started to think to himself.
'Of course, I know it now!' Einar suddenly had a thought, as he thought back to a certain village. 'I am doing this to make my father proud, TO NO LET THE VILLAGE DOWN!!' Einar yelled out in his mind.
*BOOM!*
A loud explosion happened at the training field. A huge smokescreen was made where Einar stood. When it settled though, he was nowhere to be seen.
*boom*
*boom*
*boom*
The teacher knew where he was, as he followed the explosive sounds. His speed had increased exponentially. Every step he took, made a small explosion sound, as he was running with so much force.
The last 500 meters only took him 20 seconds to run. This surprised everyone there, they had never seen someone so young, run so fast.
When Einar finally stood still, everyone could see a small black hue around Einar, it looked quite cruel.
Einar also looked down at his own body, as he was surprised at the massive energy boost he had just gotten. He felt his muscles could do much more, they wanted to go faster than what he just did.
The teacher was also looking at Einar, his eyes were big. When he saw how all of Einars muscles flexed when he sped up, he knew what he had just done.
He did not use any skill or techniques, he did something that was rarely seen. He tapped into the true power of one's muscles.
People can not use the full power of their muscles normally, they had to train to do that, but it would still only last for a short amount of time.
Einar had just done it, but he was doing it for longer than any people he had ever seen. This also meant that he could get massive damage to his muscles.
Einar felt his blood pumping, he wanted to move, he wanted to test his new powers. Just before he could though, the teacher yelled out "EINAR, STOP!!!" Einar did not make a move, as he looked at his teacher.
"Don't move, you need to get out of the state you are in right now!" The teacher said, with a severe look.
Einar looked at him with a questioning look, but seeing his expression, he did not want to go against him.
"Don't worry, when you get out of this state, I will tell you what just happened!" The teacher said.
"Okay, how do I stop this!" Einar looked at the teacher, with a serious expression.
"Okay, first you ...!" The teacher started explaining, as Einar did all he said.
"AAAAAARGH" After ten minutes, everyone heard an ear-piercing cry.
When Einar got out of the state, his body hurt all over. He felt like his body was just about to explode. Every muscle was hurting, and he could barely lift his leg.
"W-What Happened *ARGH* teacher?" Einar was in so much pain, he had a hard time speaking his sentence.
"You tapped into the true power of your muscles, which is extraordinary for your age ..." The teacher said as he was admiring him. "... But staying in that stage for a prolonged time, can bring damage to your muscles!" He warned Einar.
Einar had a frightened look now. If he damaged his body now, he would not have a chance of getting stronger.
"Don't worry kiddo, you got out in time! The pain you feel now is just sore muscles!" The teacher comforted him. "Having stayed in the state you were in for so long, and getting out with any damage, is quite impressive!" The teacher said to Einar.
"T-Thanks I think!" Einar did not know what to say.
"I will take you to the infirmary now, so you can rest!" The teacher said. He was quite impressed by Einar. He might be a mage, but he could still see a talented warrior when he saw one.
"W-What about the class!" Einar didn't want to miss any teachings, he was here to get stronger after all.
"You are in no state to continue class!" The teacher said.
"O-Okay, I will be back soon then!" Einar did not give up, as soon as he felt good, he would go straight back to class.
"Haha, fine, see you around kid!" The teacher was impressed with Einar's determination. "My name is Steve, you can come to ask me anything if you are having any troubles!" The teacher said as he had acknowledged Einar's power and determination.
'I need to help this kid get stronger' He could not help but think this, as he was looking at a hurt Einar.
Steve quickly took Einar to the infirmary, and he left Einar there. He went straight back to the class, as he left Einar on a bed in the infirmary.
It did not take long before he heard the door open again.
"Anything else teacher Steve?" Einar asked as he could not see who was in the door.
"Oh ... you already know steve by his first name?" A feminine voice came from the door.
