Roaming the abysmal darkness of endless void was an entity of otherworldly origins.
It existence was in itself a paradox, a mystery, an ambiguous concept, an enigma amongst the universe' endless creations: a soul.
A wandering soul, no, an unfettered soul would suit it as it was yet to be bound to any mortal vessel.
While the soul was traveling through the void with a pre-determined destination a voice boomed through the vacuous expanse of black carrying with it an enormous presence filling the void with a
pressure capable of bringing any mortal creature to its knees in obeisance.
"Then, I hope you and the others are able to accomplish the task set before you and also, please learn to accept and support this world with your strength".
"For only by adapting and accepting can one truly surpass their motal limits".
Saying that, the voice along it's world encompassing presence disappeared from the void.
"Support huh… Well I guess coming to another world and becoming a civil servant isn't that bad, right?".
Traveling alone through the void once again the soul began to ponder to itself, "Why does it feel like I'm still dreaming. Hahh…". Letting out a belated sigh the soul murmured "Hopefully i will be reborn with status because starting over from scratch is the bane of every civil servant".
While talking to itself, it began to ruminate about the incident that brought about this situation.
"Reincarnation huh… This feels weird even thinking about it now, or maybe I'm the one being wierd for thinking about it in the first place. Whatever, brooding about it isn't going to change anything rather I think the wierder things are about to begin"
Amongst the vast expanse of the universe, there are concepts which even the most learned of mortals couldn't even begin to comprehend to it's truest essence. Time, Space, Fate, Karma, Reincarnation are but a few of them with Reincarnation encompassing all other ethereal concept as it can only be believed in but not proved.
"I wonder how the others are doing. Probably in the same situation as me".
"Wait… How can I even speak, or am I even speaking? Hah… This feels so weird"
While the soul kept musing about its ethereal state, a blue planet several times larger than it's former world came into view.
"There's no going back after this huh. *Yawn*. I'm feeling sleepy all of a sudden".
Feeling the shadow of exhaustion coming upon its ethereal being the soul muttered
"Hopefully this nap will bring me some mental clarifications when i wake up".
Falling asleep while approaching the new world the soul thought, I wonder in what condition I'll be when I wake up, optimistically.

The world of Alheim, govern by gods and goddesses who control elements and concepts that govern mortals existence, was divided into five continents separated by land and sea.
Alheim: a world of magic was populated by different races. The Humans of endless potential ruled three of its continent, while the solitary and graceful Elves ruled one of its continent with the last ruled by races of Demi-humans.
Even with three of its continent ruled by humans, the humans knew better than to antagonize the other races because while wars was prevalent it wasn't anything serious other than some scruffles by the borders or intra-continental wars. For while humans had power over half of the world they were by no means the strongest.
The Elves were blessed with magic and loved by spirits whereas the majority of the various races of Demi-humans were blessed with extraordinary physical abilities.
The reason humans were the predominant races was because of their potential to evolve almost infinitely.
Of course this didn't mean that the other races couldn't evolve, but it was harder and took longer compared to the human race.
From the times of old, humans acknowledging their weakness took to learning from other races, magic from the elves, smithing and construction from the dwarves, understanding the wildlife from the Beastkins and making the trove of knowledge theirs. With their intelligence to adapt to any situation and limitless potential added to their reproduction rate being higher than any other races, the humans soon came to be on equal footing with other races and taking lesser time to surpass them.
This didn't mean that all humans were talented, rather it would be more common to find untalented humans everywhere as they made up most of the population.
If it was asked what made the humans stand out from the other races or what them special from them was that the humans could incorporate magic and physique more efficiently than any other race except for a few mythical races. Like the same way the Elves were more proficient in magic and Beastkins more proficient in physique, they were also better than humans in their respective area of expertise meaning humans would be find it hard to best an elf of the same rank with magic likewise a human and a beastkin in physique.
It wasn't to say that humans would necessarily lose to either race in fight as a battle was different than comparison on particular aspects meaning humans would mostly win in a battle between any other race as there were able to utilize both aspects more efficiently.

"I'm sure they will grow up to be as strong as you". She replied back.
Breaking into a roaring laugh, Duke Vincent said "Of course! They are our children after all".
Looking back at his wife he asked "What do you want to name them?"
Looking at her children she said while smiling.
"Let's name her Rose". She declared while looking at her daughter's red hair and eyes that reminded her of the exotic and sometimes deadly flower she grew to love.
Turning her head towards the boy she thought while looking at his red-tinged black hair and blue eyes 'calm, beautiful and pure' she thought.
"Galen. Let's name him Galen". She said still looking at his eyes that resembled hers.
Acknowledging what she said with a nod, Duke Vincent said while picking up both babies.
"Rose and Galen. Welcome to the house of Talroth"
