Chapter 4 - Finding Akuma

Hoshi's POV:

My mom packed me some food before I left to go find this Akuma person. My dad didn't give me the address so I had to look in the box for clues. So I just started looking up where the demons lived. When I got closer though I didn't know we were going so I parked somewhere and looked through the box. Of course, I couldn't let them know the prince was here (me) so I shapeshifted into a demon. It wouldn't be good because everyone would be walking up to me.

I needed to lay low if I was going to find where this Akuma dude is. I saw another clue in the box so I read it.

When I was finished reading the clue I closed the box and put it in my bag. When I was finished the pendant started glowing. I guess he was close? Sadly I was still hungry even though I finished the food before I read the clue. So I tucked the pendant in and headed into the store. I think Akuma is in the store because my pendant is glowing a lot. I went to the back to get some chips and I saw some people harassing someone.

" Akuma, your Mom never loved you, she was so quick to leave you."

"That's why she was so in a hurry to cheat on your dad."

"It's all your fault."

I walked towards the group of people.

" It doesn't seem like he did anything to you so why don't you leave him the fuck alone."

" Who are you to be telling us what to do with Akuma?"

" Didn't you hear that some royal vampires can transform? Hi, you're seeing one of them."

I switched from demon to angel to demon so they could get the point.

" Ugh fine we will leave him alone"

They left and I saw Akuma's eyes practically glowing.

" Hi um Akuma why didn't you use your powers against them?"

" Hello um because they would have told everyone that I was lashing out on them. You know that the half Angel came out of me calling me evil and shit."

He was telling me about the bullying as we got our snacks and left.

"You see my pendant right?"

"Yeah, it's glowing so brightly just like mine."

*Laughs* " Seems like your dad didn't tell you."

" Huh? Tell me what?"

" I'm Hoshi, you know the one you're fighting the witch within your dreams?"

" How do you know that?"

"My telepathy does some weird things."

We talk and walk to my car and he gives me his address. Akuma and I head to his dad's house. We walk into the house and fill everyone in on what happened. (Except for the harassment, Akuma didn't want his dad to worry.) Akuma and I go upstairs to his room so he can pack.

" Your room is nice. I love the art up on the wall where did you buy that at?"

"Oh, I drew them myself and bought the poster paper from the store. The drawing was kind of my first clue before dreaming about you."

" Omg, you're a great artist. Also, can I see your drawing of me? "

Akuma gave me his book of drawings and I kept looking through and complimenting him. He was saying it wasn't that good but he's just lying. After he packed his clothes we headed downstairs. His Dad was making some food.

" So where are you taking Akuma? Is he going to the palace to train with you?"

"Shurui, I'm going to take Akuma to the area where my father trained me. I'm sure you know where that is Shurui."

" Yeah, of course, I know where that is Hoshi. That's where your father and I trained. Of course, you already know that because your dad probably told you. Please make sure my son is safe."

" Dad I'll be fine I promise. You know I have to do this."

"Akuma I know but I'm still worried. I'm your dad, I'll always worry. I hate that you have to fight your mother but, I'm not gonna let either of you leave on an empty stomach."

Akuma and I grabbed some Tupperware for food and said goodbye to everyone. We also told Daitan to meet us up there in a week. Akuma and I then got in the car and left for the training area. It had bedrooms and stuff so we were going to sleep there.

Once we got there we took some showers, ate our food, and went to bed. The next morning I told Akuma about the box my dad wanted me to have.

" So are there more notes in there?"

" Yea Akuma there is that's why I asked you to come down here so we can read it together."

"Oh ok, so we can get a hint of what to do next right?"

I nod and then open the hint and read it out loud.

" Reading any of his notes always makes me sad."

" I'm here for you Hoshi. I may not know how it is having someone dead but I know how it is to not have one around. If you need to vent I am here I mean we need to bond anyways right. *laughs*"

*Laughs* " Yeah we do. I'm honestly so sorry about your mom. You never deserved it at all. If you need to vent I'm here as well."

" Thanks, Hoshi and you know I try to tell myself that every day."

We got to know each other as the day went on. However, training time had to happen Akuma and I did what dad said. We thought of the things that made us feel the most anger and tried our hardest to control it. We made progress for the day so I said we should call it quits.

" Yeah you're right I was about to blow a fuse."

" Me too, that's why I said no more for today ughhhhh."

Akuma and I laughed it off and ate some dinner. Luckily I cooked because I found out Akuma couldn't. He almost burnt the kitchen down. *Laughs* Both of us ate, took a shower, and talked till we were tired, and then went to sleep. Hanging out with Akuma is fun and honestly a breath of fresh air.

The week continued as normal and we both helped each other train. I got to know him a little more and he got to know me. It's the day Sumato and Datian come. I'm sure they will help us more since they've been fully trained.

*Someone opens the door*

"Akuma and Hoshi we're here."

Both of us run downstairs and hug them. After that, we show them to their rooms. They unpack and come back downstairs.

" So how is training going for you guys?"

Akuma and I looked at Daitan and shrugged.

" Did y'all start training?"

"Yea Hoshi read one of the notes and it said to focus on emotions."

" We tried thinking of something that made us angry but then we kept losing control."

Sumato started laughing.

" It's okay, it was hard for us to control our emotions as well. Let's get y'all started with the exercises we did in training."

I'm not surprised at how better it was having them here. They had us do mental exercises to strengthen our emotions in tough situations. It helped us greatly and we were seeing way more change. I feel like Akuma may need it more than me because we're fighting his mom. I know I need to but I want to focus on him. I couldn't even imagine having to go through that. I want to help him more.

" Akuma, are you okay?"

" It's hard doing this and that's maybe why we needed to do it first."

" I understand, what are you struggling with most?"

" It's like I understand what they're saying but not how to do it."

" Ok, so the time that you acknowledge your emotions and thoughts is the time that you can become aware of the trigger that is causing that emotion. Does that explain it better? I feel like our sisters are only good for explaining the physical part. Emotions are hard to understand so than telling us the exercises worked but explaining it is harder."

" You're right Hoshi, thank you for explaining I get it more now."

I told him no problem and we started training. Weeks went by as we trained and tried to use the negative for the positive. We understand each other so well, maybe that's why we got paired up.
