Closing the worn covers of what seemed to be an encyclopedia of this Kingdom.
Afron rubbed the bridge of his nose with his pudgy fingers, downcast. An
almost tangible gloom emanated from him. He let out an audible half-sigh.
"Ah, shi..."
I had never believed in transmigration before, yet here I was, in the body of a 9-year-old boy, with a handsome face that would make even those of the same gender fall in love.
The only thing that makes this body strange for someone like me is that my eyes are all black, and my back has angel-like wings, but they are black.
Hell! My forehead even has little horns coming from it.
*Knock* *Knock*
The knocking on the door of my room abruptly jolted me out of my reverie.
"Coming!"
I dash to my door and the first thing I see when I open it is a violet haired and very cute 4-year-old girl, who, despite having the same features as me, black wings and black eyes, it didn't detract from her sweetness; in fact, it added to her charms.
"Big Brother what are we going to play today!?"
It was my 'now' little sister Lilin.
"Why don't we go on a city tour?"
"Yes! we're going tour, tour!"
I smiled seeing her reaction, it was just so cute!
A few minutes later.
"You can't."
On her throne sat a beautiful violet haired woman with her hand on her chin and her eyes closed, as if she was asleep.
On each side of her, a swarm of demon maids and knights waited.
It was my 'now' mother, the Demon Queen Carmilla Orpheus.
My younger sister, who was standing next to me, seemed to to be nervous standing in front of our Mom.
"But Mom-"
"You can go anywhere, but not outside the castle gates."
*Thud*
A loud noise came from the giant door of the throne room, interrupting our conversation. I turned my head towards it, and what I saw could be considered a work of God, if there is one.
A man with pitch black hair, black wings and black eyes like my sister and me, accompanied by numerous knights with a looks who could attract any gender simply by looking at him for the first time.
Fortunately for me, this isn't my first seeing him.
Holding my sister's hand I bowed slightly at the man, who is walking towards us with a genuine smile on his face.
"Dad."
"Daaad!"
It was my 'now' father, the ruler of this Kingdom, one of the strongest person in this whole world, the Demon King Abaddon Orpheus.
With a large smile on her face, my sister dashed towards the him and was immediately embraced by my father.
"My little princess is now this big huh."
"Hehehe."
My little sister laughed sweetly as our father took her up and held her in his arms.
After that, he walks up to me and gently strokes my white hair.
"I see that you have been doing your training perfectly, son."
I smiled at him as I heard his words and seeing him I couldn't help but be charmed by his appearance, despite the fact that this isn't my first time seeing him.
My father, who appeared to be aware that I was taken with his appearance, snapped his finger on my forehead.
I immediately snap out of my thoughts as I feel pain between my brows, and seeing my father looking at me the same genuine smile.
"Ah-yes! Teacher Hecate always helped me with my training."
"Good, good keep it up."
He then turned his head towards the throne where my Mom was sitting, staring at us with a slight smile on her face.
"Why don't you let the kids go out?"
Asked by Dad now sitting beside our Mom.
"No, they can't what if-"
"You're simply being overly cautious. Allow them to go. Agares and Berith, you two should tour the city with the kids and use my carriage, bring some maids also."
Two people then walk in front of me: a bearded man with white hair who looks like he could be my father's grandfather and is named Agares; he is one of my father's loyal knights; and the other is a good-looking man with red hair whose age could be mistaken for 20 based on his appearance, but I know his age was over 100 because demons lives a very long time.
They then bowed 90 degrees in front of my Dad and Mom and said.
"Yes your majesty!"
My younger sister immediately snatched herself from my father's grip and dashed towards me. A wide yet adorable smile was formed on her face and she started jumping everywhere.
"Yehey! we're going tour!"
"Hahahahahahaha!"
My father seems see this sight quite amusing as he laughed out loud, while my mother just shrugged her shoulders.
"Princess Lilin and Prince Afron this way please."
A maid then guided us outside following us is Agares and Berith and also three other beautiful maids.
Outside the castle a luxurious carriage was already waiting.
"Woaahhhh!"
My little sister appears to be shock by how luxurious the carriage as she stared at it with her mouth open.
I then move my hand and pinched her cheeks that seems to be begging to be touch.
"Ouch! what was that! uh, Big Brother? What is it?"
She looked at me while tilting her head slightly.
"It's nothing, you're just too cute."
"Didn't you already said that to me many times?"
She then started counting with his finger, after she finished counting she looked at me and raise both of her small white hands showing his fingers with one slightly fold.
"Nine times! you already told me that nine times this week."
"Ah-hehe, what can I do my little sister was just too cute."
"See, you said it again."
"Hahahahahahaha!"
Everyony started laughing at my sister's respond.
After that little conversation we had outside the castle, we then started our tour around the city.
Everyone we passed while riding bowed when they saw the black fire crest in our carriage, indicating that we're from the royal family. The people around me didn't seem to be affected by it, while my little sister was busy looking at the scenery outside.
The four maids were inside the carriage with us, while Agares and Berith were outside, riding their own Dark Horse.
It was called the Dark Horse because of its appearance, which included two horns sprouting on its head and emitting some kind of dark aura.
Everything outside appears to be what you've seen in fantasy novels about kingdoms, except there are no humans. All you see are different kinds of appearances, some with tails, others with horns, but one thing is that I don't see anyone with the same black eyes and black wings as me and my sister.
'I guess this is a traits of the royal family huh.'
Being a prince of a kingdom doesn't mean you could live a luxurious life always, and I clearly know that.
Since the day I woken up with this body, I started to make a plan about my future, and one of it was to see the city, even it is only the capital, as long as I have enough idea of what Demons are, it is enough.
And the only thing I can say as I observe the people is that.
'They are prideful.'
In my past life I was alone, my mother abandoned me at a young age because of poverty, while I didn't meet my father even once.
I lived my life in an orphanage, and didn't even get a taste of what a school feels like.
I did anything to survive and it includes stealing other belongings.
As I grow up with only myself, I always watch people on how they do their works to learn, and eventually as I grow up watching, I learned also to know their attitudes just by looking on how they move.
At some point while we were riding the carriage and taking a tour in the city, we came into a halt in front of a large mansion.
I immediately open the window and ask Agares.
"What happened?"
"Your Highness, it appears that while we're traveling through this estate held by Duke Selene Ursel, she notices that you're on a city tour and invites you and the princess to take a cup of tea."
