"Little Afron, don't dodge this one, please." A gentle voice sounded as I try to evade a huge ball of fire coming to my direction.
As the massive fireball decreased the gap between us, I strengthened my grasp on my sword.
As I waited, I began to take deep breaths.
As I prepare for the fireball to land, demonic energy begins to cover my blade.
*BOOM*
With a loud noise, I leap through the air, living behind the gap in the ground where I jump, and with the help of my wings, I easily close the distance between me and the fireball.
The fireball was now 20 meters below ground and within my grasp. I raised my sword with all of my strength.
"Demon Blade, Splitting The Sky."
With a slash as quick as light, the world seemed to come to a halt for a brief moment, and then the massive fire ball that could easily crush any normal castle was sliced in half, along with the cloud hovering in the sky.
*BOOOMMM*
The sliced fireball exploded with a loud bang.
"Huff...huff...huff" As I landed on the ground, I began to pant heavily.
"Little Afron really is becoming stronger day by day, Teacher Hecate really is proud of you~"
I heard a pleasant voice in front of me as I relaxed my breathing, and when I shifted my focus to it, I saw a woman with long blonde hair and green eyes, it was my teacher Hecate Snova, who had been instructing me for six years since I was transmigrated into this planet.
She is also the one who taught me about the demons' society.
"Are you looking forward to attending the academy?" Asked by my Teacher with a smile on her face.
"Ah, right, I forgot about that." Mom has been urging my Dad for the past five years to send me to an academy for at least two years to learn how to communicate with others my age.
My father, who was opposed, had no choice but to agree because I, too, wanted to experience the school environment.
In the Amorite Kingdom, nobles over the age of 14 are required to attend academy in order to learn alongside their peers; however, even though the royal family is exempt, I still wanted to try school.
"I guess you're right I'm kinda excited for that." I said
"Hehe~ Since you're going to the academy, I suppose I'm done teaching you."
"Huh, you're not one the professors their?" I asked in a confused tone.
"I'm sorry little Afron, but I am not, snif... sniff." Hecate said while acting as though she was about to cry.
But it has no effect on me because I've seen it many times.
"So are we not going to see each other again?"
"Is little Afron going to miss this big sister?" She smiled teasingly.
"You-" I was going to respond when she abruptly cut me off.
"I'm kidding; of course, we'll run into each other again, and I'm sure you'll be surprised by then."
"Are you God or what?" I asked with a mocking grin on my face.
"Hehe~ Little Afron enjoys teasing others." She laughed sweetly.
"Your Highness, the King has summoned you to his chamber."
A voice from behind me abruptly interrupted our talk. When I turned to face it, I noticed a knight bowing his head.
"I will be there in a minute." I told the knight.
After hearing my words, the knight walks away.
"I guess it's time to say goodbye, little Afron; your big sister will miss you. I'm looking forward to seeing you again. Snif... snif."
"Hahahahaha. I'm also looking forward to it." I smiled and turned to go to Dad's chamber.
After a few minutes of walking, I arrived in front of a large door with guards each sides.
When the guads saw me they then bowed and open a door.
"Snif... Sniff..."
I heard some sobbing inside while waiting for the massive door to fully open. I recognized the voice right away.
*Thud*
The enormous door swung open with a thud, and I could see what was inside clearly.
My little sister Lilin was crying while being hugged by my mother, while my father stood beside her.
When they see me coming in, they give me a small smile.
"What happened?" I asked in a slight worried voice.
"Your younger sister informed us that she wishes to accompany you to the academy." My Mom said this while staring at my younger sister, who was still sobbing.
"Oh..." Seeing my sister cry over something like this makes me happy for some reason. Since I had no relatives in my previous life, it was a strange sensation.
Lilin turned around and looked at me with teary eyes after hearing my voice. Even though she was now eight years old, she still looked at me the same way she had the first time I saw her.
After seeing my little sister's face, I shifted my glance to my parents, as if to inquire about their decision.
"You decide for it." My Dad said with a serious expression, while Mom seems hesitant about what my Dad just said.
'She's your daughter you know? Why me? I'm just the older brother here.' I inwardly thought.
"Even though you are only an older brother, you should be able to make judgments on your own."
Just then I heard my Dad spoke. I quickly make use of my brain on what decision should I choose.
"Then I want to bring her." I said with an emotionless expression.
"No, Afron, Lilin is only eight years old, only people with the age of fourteen can be accepted in the academy." My Mom said with a worried face.
"Then I will personally talk to the principal to let Lilin attend also." My Dad spoke while resting his hands on Mom's shoulders, attempting to calm her concern.
"Sigh... You, aren't you abusing your power too much?" My Mom said with a stress face.
"Hahahahahaha." My Dad just laughed at my Mom's words.
"Fine, I'll let you go with Lilin, but I'll decide what carriage you'll ride in and how many maids and guards will accompany you. Make sure you return home at least twice a month; if you don't, I will burn that academy." My Mom spoke while a murderous aura started to come out of her body.
'Gulp'
"Yes!" I quickly replied.
After that night, the day has arrived for us to travel from Fropus City to Ipfalphis City, the location of the Cypress Academy.
The Amorite Kingdom's second city was called Ifalphis, while the capital was called Fropus.
Cypress Academy was the most prominent academy in the Amorite Kingdom, and it was where Lilin and I would be studying.
"Your Highness, the carriages are now ready." One of the guards who will be coming with us spoke.
"I see..." I then turned my gaze towards my parents.
"We will be going." I said with a smile while holding Lilin's left hand.
"Yeah, yeah... You should go or else you two will be late." My Dad spoke.
"Afron, be sure to always protect your little sister." My Mom said in a serious tone, but I could see worries in her eyes.
"You can count on me." I said with a smile.
"Mom, you can trust Big Brother." My sister added.
"Sigh... you three." My Mom said while shaking her head with a smile.
"We'll be going then." I spoke.
"Bye!"
After saying our goodbyes to our parents, we headed to the nearest warp gates, which are more like portals that transport you to a certain location.
