One night, Rei woke up to what sounded like the shattering of glass and the loud creaking of wood. When he opened his eyes he found that he was once again tangled in his bed sheets. This happens so much, and Rei had always been eager to solve any problem that may come his way. However he had not yet discovered a way to remedy the, what he had of two weeks ago dubbed, 'Twisted Doona Syndrome'.
Sadly, it was likely he'd never get another chance to solve the dilemma. This is because everything in Rei's room was shaking violently. The shaking stopped abruptly, but just when Rei had thought it had been an earthquake and was going to stand up he imploded.
Or rather a perfect sphere of what looked like nothingness engulfed Rei. 'Nothingness' looked weird but if you were inside of it, you'd feel what Rei was feeling.
And what Rei was feeling was the most uncomfortable thing anywhere at any time. Imagine stubbing your toe on the coffee table, hitting your funny bone while trying to explain something to your teacher, someone flicking your Adam's Apple while you're trying to speak, and someone pinching your sides while you're concentrated on homework all at the same time every where on your body. This went on for almost two hours, but by the first half hour Rei's body started to go numb and he lost consciousness.
The police would only find his house a mess and a sphere of empty bedroom where Rei Keepper had been sleeping two weeks after his mother had made her monthly call. Monthly call meaning Rei had started living off the grid a year ago. He knew how to survive and hunt on his own, but where he was going was nothing like the planet he knew as Earth. This, he would soon find out.
