Tim held tight, knowing the struggle he'll need to go through. He stood in front of Etuna, remained calm, yet hid the anxiety to face a god.
She was holding back; at the very least try. But the corruption started overwhelming her and began taking over control. It would slowly reach the peak of bursting out without her knowing what she was doing.
"You... fool... Did I not make myself clear?" her voice started becoming darker and had an added echo. "You will die... A human cannot match the power of a god." She spoke, her eyes turning red in a flash. "I know, but my job's not to defeat you. I only need to keep you occupied long enough for Kyora to return with Flare."
Etuna showed no remorse. "A mere human will never have enough time when fighting me. If you believe you could... then you may kneel seconds before your demise." Tim didn't move or act and observed Etuna raising her right arm.
The blue electricity zapped around her arm like a cyclone and then created a ginormous pulse. It vibrated with a loud noise that resembled thunder hitting the ground. It cracked the sky in front and then shot out a bolt.
Its launch made the ground seem like wood and snow like a feather as it blew everything aside, revealing the icy floor that too shattered. It zapped forth at breakneck speed and shaped itself in a zigzag pattern that would strike Tim in an instant.
With the wind blowing around swirling, he leaped out of the way after his eyes released a blue trail. He flickered on the spot, then vanished while the bolt sped through the skies of the whole Winterpeak Island.
It looked like a comet that left behind a blue trail as the people in the town witnessed it surging in the distance.
Kou, Yumiko, and Alina watched it happen, and the two became confused. "What is that?" asked Yumiko, following its trail. Alina happened to become anxious. "It's Etuna's lightning bolt. Something's happening near her!"
Ayuka and the others returned to the bar to which Natan and Raoul earlier arrived and noticed that both Raoul and Dave stopped their battle for an unknown reason. Their eyes were locked on the sky as they saw the bolt approaching them at hyper speed. "Hey! Guys!" Ayuka being unobservant dashed forward but heard Fuji calling out to her. "Watch out!"
Ayuka gazed and looked behind her when suddenly noticed the bolt rushing down at her, and before she could react, the bolt rammed her.
It kicked up a devastating wind that destroyed the ground, tossed the snow to the side, and released a chain-reaction pulsation, knocking others away.
They were astounded and couldn't see what occurred before them.
And when the explosion finally cooled down they glanced in front and found Ralphie laying on top of Ayuka.
He pushed her away at the very last second before she would get crushed. "Are you all right?" he asked.
Ayuka nodded, "Yeah, thanks." She said confidently while somewhat shocked.
Ralphie helped her stand up, turned behind, and noticed a gigantic hole digging deep into the underground.
She couldn't comprehend what occurred in that period.
Tim crawled from underneath the snow, standing up while the storming wind blew past. He slightly tilted his head aside and wiped the blood off his nose.
"That bolt didn't touch me, but it still scratched me. It seems nothing like Elliott's release. It feels different, and its sound is as powerful as it appears."
Usually, Tim seemed confident in battle, but this time it felt different, "I almost feel scared," he believed, "No, I am scared, but that fear should be the last thing on my mind." He was sweating, admitting how terrified he was.
He then noticed Etuna vanish, and the next second, he observed an electrified palm pulsing out a vibration. It blasted at him, and dodging wasn't an option. The sheer power of the pulsation forced him to detonate into flames and bounce around.
Due to the weather and snow, his flames wouldn't sear long, so the barely-burning ones quickly connected. They pieced together his body in the air.
He dropped toward the ground with his back landed in the snow. Despite his body having immunity to physical attacks, the sheer force seemed too much for that immunity to withstand.
He was in pain, and because he didn't have enough time to rest from the earlier wounds, that made his body take in even more pressure.
He picked himself up, his arms dangling in front of him, and looked back at Etuna. "My ability's useless in harsh winds. I can't produce enough pressure to keep the flames burning even in a storm." He stretched his right arm, trying to ignite it, but only one spark.
He flapped his hand to the side to stop the spark from wasting his energy and bent forward. He stepped and launched himself into a dash, approaching Etuna and prepared to strike, yet pointless.
Etuna diagonally swung her arm ahead of her releasing a swiping edge of thunder and lightning that took on the form of pressure and then delivered it. Tim crossed his arms, stopping before he could strike, but was forced to transform into the fire again.
He couldn't use any other defense but his flame body immunity, as his body couldn't resist the pressure.
He used it to back away and distance himself and Etuna, sliding through the snow-covered ground. "This is hopeless! I can't get close!" he tried to think but barely had time as Etuna created two lightning bolts in both of her arms.
She stepped forward and hurled them forward like spears, leaving a current of electricity as their trail.
Tim was caught off guard and decided to construct more pressure from his aura to release hotter flames, but it had a flaw; doing so would drain his energy even quicker.
He shaped it into a fire fist and then shot it out to collide with the lightning bolts. He expected to avoid taking damage and to at least equal the lightning bolts' power, but instead, the bolts speared through and blew the flames into nothingness.
He crossed his arms to cover his face and closed his eyes, ready to take the bolt head-on. "Damn it!" he growled, practically screaming out until the unthinkable happened.
Etuna looked up and saw a crimson eye hovering in front of her. It was only that one red shade of color.
A black silhouette of Tim's body standing in front of her, unmoving, filled her vision, which appeared to be blue and devoid of all other hues.
As they traveled further, she could see vibrations rushing toward her and getting stronger. It made noises comparable to a beating heart and a ringing vibration sound.
Even her corrupted self struggled and perspired to predict such behaviour despite being out of control. She was taken aback when the two lightning bolts she threw eventually broke into transparency.
Tim, who had prepared himself for the onslaught, was unharmed. When he finally opened eyes after a little pause, he saw Etuna frozen in place, flinching.
His eyes blinked, confused. He was unable to comprehend what took place during the procedure. One would assume that Etuna kept the corruption at bay, but nothing along those lines could have explained the atmospheric waves that all but left her lightning ineffective.
Tim had never heard of the words that Etuna whispered as her sweat streamed onto the snow.
"S-Supremacy? The... Forbidden Technique... of ... S-Supremacy?"
