Tim and the others lowered the anchor in front of a little island to bring the ship to a halt. Tim's delight could be seen in his cheerful countenance. He joyfully sprang over the ship's fence, raising both arms in the air. "There's a new island! There should be plenty of tasty creatures!"
As the waters surged around him, he leapt toward the island. It annoyed Ayuka, who was holding the anchor's rope. "Did you forget you can't swim already?!"
She looked over the fence to see Tim fighting to keep afloat. "Help! Help! I can't swim!" He yelled in agony as he slowly sank beneath the surface, bubbles drifting up. "I got him."
Codey hurriedly hopped over the fence, removing his jacket and leaping after him. "You have some unusual friends..." Karisa spotted Ayuka smiling as she inserted her map. "After years of traveling with them, you grow used to their idiocy. But that's what makes friends interesting. Wouldn't you agree?"
Karisa laughed before nodding and remarking on how Codey saved Tim from drowning. "Hey, thank's a bunch, Codey! I thought I was doomed!" Codey lifted his hand as Tim scratched the side of his ear, laughing. "Idiot!" Codey straightened up and glanced toward their ship after whacking the top of Tim's head. "Are you all set to go check the island?"
Nina, on the other hand, was holding Elliott's garments while he ran about trying to get away from her. He was speeding up with electricity, but he didn't move at all. "Let me go! I'm sure there's some hidden treasure for me! I'm sure there are other lovely ladies waiting for a hero like me!"
"I seriously doubt it. It's clear that you need to work on your obsession with women."
He kept running on the spot, speeding up, but Nina's grip on him kept holding him back. "Seriously, will you let me go?" She let go of Elliott's garments with a sigh, and his corpse catapulted over the ship's fence, smashing into a tree with his limbs splayed to the side. After nearly breaking his nose, he slid down the trunk and collapsed on the floor. "I guess a tree will do..."
Tim was bored and perplexed as he sat on the sand, looking about. "Now that I think about it, the island appears to be isolated, with no village at all,"
"This is one of those little islands that you often see in the water. It is not a major island with a population. I saw it on the map and thought we should have a look at it." Tim looked over the map unimpressed and pointed to an island, which Codey traded. "On the map, however, this island appears to be larger. You deceived me."
As he snatched the map back in his palm, Codey grew irritated. "That's the island we came from! The Pelwick Island! How stupid can you get?! Look here. We're on a small island. The Pelwick Island is only a short distance away. We've been heading south from it, attempting to reach the island in the map's southern corner. Between Pelwick Island and the one we're headed to, this is the lone island. Minnerane Island is the name of the one we're on right now! Understand?"
"I thought we were going East."
"Can't you tell the difference between South and East?! You moron, they're not even across each other!" Codey began smacking the top of Tim's head with the map, enraged and irritated.
Elliott jumped to his feet, producing a flurry of sparkles as he did so. "As a guy in need, I must go in pursuit of the "Golden Love Personnel" prize! Whatever it takes, I'll find it. I might die, but I'm not going down without a fight!"
Karisa, like Nina and Ayuka, turned her head to the side to look at Elliott. Her face was flushed with bewilderment, and her eyes were black dots. "What's that?"
After hearing a question, Elliott's ears wiggled as he turned around, gripping his chin. "Oh, you asked?" He clasped his palms together near his head and laughed in a goblin-like manner and ran with a smile in front of Karisa lifting up the dust behind his feet.
"I'm delighted to respond. The "Golden Love Personnel" has a reputation for being a group of stunning young ladies. They gleam with gold, and their love for me will entice me to seek them out! As a guy, I will not give up on my search for genuine love. Unless *you* want to embrace my love, of course." Elliott took Karisa's hand in his and clasped it between his own, attempting to kiss the top of her hand, but he was interrupted.
Nina walked by them and grabbed Elliott's clothes. His eyes continued to pulse with pink loving hearts as she dragged him to the ground. "Okay, enough with the flirting. You should first go find some wood for the furnace."
"Nina, your gentle touch is very lovely! You're still as beautiful as the Holy Light herself when you're angry! Accept my affection and marry me, please! I'll make certain that you're kept safe!"
"If you don't want your head bashed by someone's fist, I'd advise you to avoid flirting with me."
"How happy I am feeling Nina's touch of golden romance! Karisa, you've done a fantastic job! No matter how bad the weather gets, I'm not going to forget about you! I'll always have a love story buried deep within my head of our marriage!"
Karisa was already unamused by the prospect of luring something so terrifying. "He stated that as though we were meeting for the last time."
"Yeah, Elliott has a reputation for being a lovebird. Despite his poor performance, he is still a good friend of ours, so I hope you can get used to him." Karisa's polka-dot eyes swirled over her face.
"I'm pretty confident I won't be able to adjust to it soon. You know, I wasn't entirely wrong when I thought your friends were eccentric."
"Don't be alarmed; they're kind, people! Let's go explore this island, shall we? Perhaps we'll find something intriguing!" Ayuka seemed overjoyed as she lifted her arm in enthusiasm.
"Of course. I'm sure things couldn't get any weirder."
"Hey, boys! Karisa and I are going to explore the island! So, just don't get yourself into too much trouble while we're gone, okay?" They waved in the distance as Tim calmly observed them.
"Guess we're going in pairs. Tim, Let's go find the treasure together. I heard there's a special monument on this island dedicated to a very precious treasure! We could be the first to discover it!"
Tim leapt to his feet and gaped open in surprise. "Treasureee...." Codey was almost drooling because he was dissatisfied. "Yes, it's a treasure. What's with the drool on your chin?"
"Let's hurry up!! I bet there's food made out of gold! I'm hungry, so let's get going!"
"It's not food, believe it or not! Besides from that, golden food isn't even edible!"
"Silver food..."
"That's much more egregious. You're well aware that such products aren't suitable for consumption!"
"Bronze food..."
"Seriously? Really? Are you really doing this?"
"I've got it!" Tim leapt to his feet as soon as he saw a reflection of meat in his eyes. "Food of the highest quality! That has to be it! Let's get started! Diamond food, here I come!"
"Please tell me he's not my captain because he's not serious. I'm sure I'm dreaming..." He felt discomfort when he squeezed his cheek, so he began to slowly pull it back. "No, I'm genuinely following his lead. I didn't think hell could be much worse..." Codey began to gently jog behind Tim, his arms dangling down to near the bottom, disappointed that it was genuine. "I've got to be the unluckiest person on the planet..."
Nina and Elliott arrived in the middle of the forest road and were surprised to see nothing nearby. "Um, what brought us here?" She kept looking around like an abandoned puppy, terrified and frozen by the scenario. "Nina, heyyyyy! I had the most brilliant idea! Because we're lost on this tiny island, you should take off your clothing! We should go swimming with the seagulls in the ocean!"
Nina quickly grew bored with his obscene thoughts and grabbed a branch. "Who said we're lost?! I'm just trying to unwind in the sunshine!" Elliott shouted in the air as she lied directly into his face and fully shattered the branch with her rage. "Someone's here! Nina, please keep me safe!"
He pressed his body towards Nina's, putting his head on her breasts and locking his arms around her hips, all while acting terrified. She tried to push him away by grabbing the top of his head. "Please, don't be that ignorant! Nobody is here! I broke that branch!"
"No, I'm sure someone is here! It was something I heard with my own ears!" His cheeks were flushed, and he concealed his joy behind a twisted grin. "Like I said! It was me! I shattered a branch! There's no one around!"
But suddenly, as it boomed over the treetops, an echo of someone's voice stretched around them.
"Who dares to trespass on my private island? I'm going to execute you if you don't leave now!" Both of them stopped on the spot, and as soon as they heard someone's voice, they began to shudder. They screamed in unison while hugging each other tightly.
"It's a monster! We're doomed to fail! We're all going to die a horrible death! Gaaaaah!" They shouted, and the male voice laughed hysterically.
To be continued...
