After who knows how long I finally wake up, I look to be in a forest of sorts. I start to sit up; I then notice there is a letter in the collar of my shirt.
"Good morning my pet~. It took you awhile to wake up so I decided to go towards the nearest town, it is 100 miles to the east. If you don't get here within 6 hours I will teleport you back to the forest, no matter how close you are. Think of this as a test will you, now, bye-bye my little pet~."
'Well… Fuck. I quickly sit up and look around me, how do I find out where the east is? Wait, where's the sun? It is to my right, but I can't tell if it is sunrise, or sun fall. Got it, I use a tree as a sundial, with there being a conveniently placed pine tree in a flat field with no other tree. Ophis knew I was going to do this, it's not that I should think of it as a test, It's the fact that it is one.' I then place stones around the tree and numbering them by stabbing sticks into the ground around them.
'With the fact that the trees have leaves and that they are green, it's summer. So that means it set's at around 9:00 pm – 9:50 pm. The shadow of the tree is between rock 7 – 8, that means it is sunset. I need to run in the opposite direction of the sun. I need to grab a stick and sharpen it; in case I need to kill something'
After finding and sharpening a stick, I begin running, only to realize something. I'm a dragon, I have fucking wings. I then unfurl my wings and flap them, shooting forward at a fast speed face first into the ground.
"Ugh… that's going to take a while to get used to." I say getting back up deciding to go back to good ol' fashion sprinting.
'Now Ophis said she would take me back to the Age of God's, yet it seems very… peaceful, I guess. I haven't seen any lightning bolts flung around, or any seismic activity. I thought the Age of God's was supposed to be a time of near constant war and feuds between gods, heroes, and villains. The big question is, where am I? Well, I can ask Ophis later, the big thing is my new body. I haven't had time to find water and look at myself yet, but I can already feel the difference. I can easily run 30+mph(48.28Kpm), and at most maybe 2x that. And, my dragon heart, I can feel it starting to integrate into me. When I woke up it just functioned as a normal human heart, but now I can feel my stamina constantly refilling, I can feel a certain… Energy in me and the air. Another thing I'll have to ask Ophis about, I'm already reliant on her. And my wings seem to only come out when I want them too, they seem to just burrow into my back when I don't want them out, it feels weird. And my heart too, I can feel a sensation whenever I look towards the south, I can feel my heart trying to force me in that direction. Wait…. No, it can't be. That isn't Ddraig, I have his heart, not his soul, so I shouldn't be feeling a soul tether. Wait, is that.'
I then begin to see a large wooden and stone wall in the direction I'm running. It seems I lost count of time and have been running for a couple hours already. As I get closer, I begin to see Ophis sitting on top of the wall.
"Good afternoon Kazu~, It took you quite a while to wake up so I decided to wait here for you. Aren't I just the best master?" Ophis says, teleporting onto my back and making me fall due to the sudden weight. Now I wouldn't if she weighed the usual weight of an average tall woman, but she weighs at least 2 tons and she's starting to crack my ribs. "Hmm. Even with a dragon body and the heart of 2 dragons you are weak. Seems your human side is still there, nothing that can't be solved with some hellish training~. Now being serious, you are going to follow me into town, I have already rented an inn, I will check to make sure your soul is fully functional, and then I will tell you about what is with this world. Now come on." Ophis then jumps off my back and walks towards the town, after a couple minutes of walking we reach an inn called "The Welsh Dragon Inn" oh... Fuck me.
"Welcome! Do you wish to- oh Mrs. Boros, welcome back. Do you wish for anything?" Mrs.? "No, I am perfectly fine Geoffrey, thank you for the thought." 'Wait, Geoffrey? What in the actual hell is going on?' After that ordeal we head up a staircase and into a room with 2 beds.
"So, mind telling me what is going on? First, we walk into an inn called "The Welsh Dragon Inn" Then we meet a man who has the same name as King Arthur's father. Wasn't he supposed to be a nobleman?" I ask sitting down and drinking a glass of water on the nightstand next to the bed.
"Humu? You already found out we were in Europe? Well to answer your question, Geoffrey in this timeline was a nobleman, until his wife framed him for a crime, so he ran away with his sons and fled to Northern Wales. After that, instead of Merlin putting Caliburn in an Anvil on top of a Stone, he made a spell that would influence the mind of "The chosen one" to find Caliburn. Now we are here, with Arthur still only having Caliburn, and he has yet to find the lady of the Lake. So, what will you do, my pet? Will you help young Arthur on his journey, or will you fight him and have the chance to incur the wrath of Merlin, the Magus of Flowers? I will not have any say, after all, entertainment is my only goal." Ophis then grabbed me and forced my chest onto her lap, then she began to check my soul.
Weirdly enough, after getting my modifications, I can now feel her touching my soul, and my instinct Is telling me to bite and rip out her Artery and kill her. Annoying, but good, animal instincts, although primal, are one of the main factors that make animals dangerous. "Ophis, are Ddraig and Albion still alive in this timeline? I may have their heart, but that was because they were not "Soul" bound to them"
"Fufu... Took you long enough, even with the connection from your heart to his it took you that long. Yes, Y Ddraig Goch the Welsh Dragon is still alive, and I have no clue what he will do with you. Maybe he will kill you, or he will teach you. I simply allowed him to live since I wanted to see what the guy might do. You might want to meet him and tell him everything, or will you lie to him to gain his trust? Hehe, just imagining it is making me giggle in excitement." Ophis says revealing her sadistic side, I can feel my instincts telling me to run away. "Anyways, it seems your soul is in Stable condition, go check yourself in the mirror and look at the changes in your new body, honestly I think your new look Is better than when you were human."
Following Ophis' advice, I checked the mirror in the bathroom. When I get there, I have to admit, Ophis isn't wrong when she says I look better cause goddamn I look hot, if I was a different person, I would fuck myself.
I seem to have gone up a couple inches, as I'm now 6'6, probably the dragon race's doing. My eyes have changed too, with my sclera now being dark red, with my eyes being dark, almost like the void… it seems Ophis has also left her mark, with a Dark Neon Purple Dragon eating its tail as my Iris. That's a dead giveaway. Also, my teeth are insanely sharp, probably sharper than a Damascus knife back home, wait. Fuck yeah, I can dull them at will, that's sick. Hmm… test. Yep, I can do the opposite with my nail's, turning them sharp at will instead. My hair is the biggest change, with my hair turning a dark purple, seems Ophis really likes the color purple (A/N: Totally not me)
"You done making out with yourself in there?" "Yeah, yeah Ophis, I have to say you did some great work with this new body, though there's a bit too much purple for my taste but whatever."
"Good, I'm glad you like it. Now, we are going out tomorrow, you are going to have a lot of training to do."
