Swords are bad against spears, bows, and shields; Daggers lose to all 4 of those. Bows are good but that means I will have 2 long ranged forms of attack. Spears it is then, they beat swords, they beat daggers, it is hard to fight against shields but I can find a way around that. Though, chains might be hard to fight against since spears are very long… Goddamit, why did I have to agree to come into this world to fight gods and heroes… Doesn't help that I was threatened by a god. "Okay. First of all, as you know Nordic runes are Ansuz – Fire, Thur – lightning, Dagaz – Light, Isaz – Ice, Oruz – Strength, Haga – Air, Laguz – Water, Gebö – Gift, Berka – Life, Othil – Property. Now, ancient runes are many times more vague and powerful than Nordic runes. But the bad part about them, is the fact that they have to be passed down, and taught by the master of the person getting the new runes. Now, sadly you don't know them since I just gave them to you, and didn't give you any knowledge. But luckily, I have a way to know them. Test and hypothesis. The good ol' scientific method. I will invigorate and stimulate the runes, then you will release them, then we will study the rune and I will write down the symbol of it. We will do that for every rune, after that, we will choose a weapon for you, though, I will have a surprise for you when it comes to the weapon part."

*BOOOOM!* The air around us cools. Then a gigantic ice spike spurts out of the ground, and then a lightning bolt strikes it.
"Holy shit! Kazu, how in the hell did you know the name of the rune?!"
"Haaa. Haaa. Argh… Ophis.. Can you shut up for 5 minutes… I am literally dying right now. I… Haaa. Am having a lot of trouble breathing." I say, trying to stand up while clutching my chest, my breathing hiking and falling dramatically. My diaphragm pressing against my lungs as they try to separate and breathe. "Oi! Oi!! Kazu drink this water!" Ophis says, putting my arm onto her shoulder and putting the bottle on my lips. After drinking the water I regain my composure and try to breathe calmly. In through the nose, out through the mouth.
"Thank you… Ophis… I think the Ancient runes are a bit too energy consuming for me to do… can you bring me over to that log and let me sit down." Ophis then hobbles me over to the log I pointed at and sets me down gently, and goes behind me to make sure I don't lean back and fall over.
"Hey! You guys okay!? I felt a spike of magic over here and then heard that loud boom!" Merlin said, running over, with Ddraig gliding in with him. "Yeah we're good Merlin, we were trying to release the ancient runes from his soul and as you can see. The aftermath created that." Ophis says, pointing to the 10ft x 10ft hole in the ground where I cast the rune
"Good lord, no wonder it was so loud. That must've been one hell of a rune. A beginner shouldn't be able to make a hole this size with one spell." Merlin says going over to examine the hole. "This is starting to get annoying. You need to stop getting tired out so easily, it seems we need to increase your stamina and magic capacity. But, now that we have figured out that the ancient runes are draining and you now know one of them, we can take advantage of that."
"No… They are very tiring but that one was many times more tiring was because of the fact that I was releasing it for the first time. I'm fine, I just wasn't prepared for the amount of stamina it would take… Whew. Okay, I don't think I can do another one, but I am good for weapon talk." I say sitting up straight and staring at Ophis. She sighed and pulled out a piece of paper and a clipboard from… somewhere. "Okay Mr, I will spawn weapons In Front of you, you will then try to attack me with each weapon for 1 minute, whichever weapon you like the most you can use. You shall also try to combine the weapon with you magic, meaning you will try to attack me with magic, you dragon traits, and the weapon itself, because in combat you always need more than 1 source of attack." Ophis then creates a long table, then she reaches out her hand and creates multiple different types of weapons. Ranging from Greatswords to Chinese rope darts, too double headed glaives, too Katas.
"Start with whichever you want. I will simply use a reinforced stick to defend myself." Ophis says pulling a stick towards her with telekinesis, 'Damn I really need to learn how to use telekinesis'
