City M
The sky above was starting to darken, indicating that it was night time. Whereas, a few moments ago the sun was still up there. However, now it has been replaced with the ruler of the night, the moon who shines brightly.
On the side of the road, to be precise at a bus stop with a lot of pedestrians passing by, there was a young woman sitting with a blank stare.
Many saw it, whether it was admiring her beautiful face or just looking and then blushing because of it. But, this woman didn't turn her head at all, let alone turn her head, not even a glance at her eyes.
Huft…
The woman exhaled tiredly, giving up when her mind was stuck again when she thought about where she wanted to be after this.
One of them is being an antisocial teenager who has more enemies than friends.
Friends, even friends who she considered friends actually had the heart to set her up like this just because she was a Grinson, who had a lot of dirty secrets inside.
Grinson?
Right now she isn't a Grinson. She is just a young woman, thrown out of a luxurious mansion called Gretta with no family surname behind her.
Yes, it was Gretta, who was currently daydreaming about where she would live after this.
She had been walking down the street all day and sitting at the bus stop like this. Maybe, at first she felt free when she could see the outside world, streets or city parks without fear of a time limit to go home. But, when night fell like this, how could she still wander the streets?
She couldn't possibly stay sitting at the bus stop like this or sitting in the café during the day, when she was enjoying the food she bought.
"Eumm…, am I staying at a hotel?" murmured Gretta asked herself.
Ah!
As quickly as she thought of her plan, as quickly as she shook her head cursing herself.
How could she stay with the little money in her wallet? Wanting to use a card that is usually her mainstay is impossible, because her grandmother has definitely blocked the facilities she used to enjoy.
And again, she couldn't possibly stay well just for one night, what did she want to eat the next day?
"Or…, I went to the café and asked for a job there?"
Again thoughts played beautifully in her brain. However, she again shook her head, rejecting what she was thinking.
"No, no. I couldn't have come there and suddenly said I wanted to stay there. They're even quite deprived of living in limited spaces."
Gretta fell back on her knees, looked down at the heels she was wearing, silently feeling the pain that was starting to spread there.
Ah! I shouldn't have worn these high heels, she thought grimly.
Her hand reached out to take off the luxury footwear belonging to the Grinsons, with a hiss of pain as the red rash on her heel rubbed involuntarily.
God, until it was like this, her mind was gloomy.
"Well, after this I just sell these beautiful shoes. Eum…, how much did you sell?" Gretta muttered before finally chuckling, amused by what she said. "Oh my, to sell things like this. After shoes, what are you doing?" What else can I sell?" she continued, shaking her head.
Indeed, during her 18 years in the world, she recently felt sad because she had no money. Whereas, she was sad because she was not given love.
Her world had turned upside down and she hoped her bad luck would end here.
The night wind was getting more and more piercing to the bone, knowing that her body was not properly covered except for the torn dress on the sleeves she wore yesterday.
"I think it's going to rain soon," Gretta muttered when she felt the moon above starting to be covered by cloudy clouds. "Ah! It's too bad if it rains, where do you want to take shelter," she continued grumbling.
Feeling that the bus stop was not the right choice, Gretta got up from her seat and decided to find a place that had a wider roof that could protect her.
Still with the sense of freedom she felt, she walked down a street that she didn't even know the name of the road. Because what she is following now is her feet, whether she wants to be taken anywhere is up to her.
The bustle of the streets at least made Gretta less afraid. Even the decorative lights on the street were able to attract her attention and now her head was turning from side to side, just to admire the beauty of the twinkling.
Gretta, who was too carried away by the beauty of the street, didn't pay attention to her steps, so that every now and then she would bump into other pedestrians or even nearly trip over her own feet.
"Sorry," Gretta mumbled as she again bumped into the shoulder of a man who passed her.
"If you walk carefully!" rebuked the man, glancing at Gretta's luxurious appearance.
"Yes, sorry sir," Gretta said, bowing her head briefly, something she never did.
She brought her face back up and frowned slightly when she felt the man staring intently at her up and down.
What is it? Does she want to ask for compensation huh, thought Gretta fearfully.
The man who had been busy assessing Gretta finally gasped in surprise when a voice interrupted him.
"I'm sorry again, sir. I'm sorry."
"Hey!"
Gretta tried to deaf ear, as the stranger tried to stop her. She kept walking fast and looking for a place to hide. Every now and then, she would also turn around and breathe a sigh of relief when she didn't find the man chasing what she feared.
Why am I being reckless like this, Tsk. Good thing he didn't follow me, Gretta thought with relief.
She returned to walking leisurely while normalizing the roar of her breath that had caught in the air. Trust me, this new Gretta felt this kind of fear. What's more, she was in a strange place that she had never traced at all.
"Better forget it, just pray we don't see each other again," she muttered as she walked away.
Pedestrians are decreasing as the time is getting late. Gretta saw a shop that had a fairly large overhang, with a roof that was also able to protect it from the rain.
"I'd better
Grip!
"Hey! My bag!"
Pats!
Drap! Drap! Drap!
Gretta screamed in panic when suddenly someone grabbed her and snatched her bag. It happened too fast, when she saw the thief running away from her.
"Help! Someone stole my bag!"
She screamed again, but unfortunately no one heard even just to look at her.
Immediately she wanted to cry. But she couldn't, because crying wouldn't solve the problem she thought. So, with all the strength she had, Gretta ran and chased the culprit who was far ahead.
She kept running as fast as she could, occasionally calling out to the thief hoping the thief would stop and return her bag.
Really, she had nothing but the bag.
"Hey! Stop!"
Although she could still see the back, the distance was too far and again she was short of breath, short of breath. Not to mention her legs were throbbing and she felt she had no strength to run.
Until finally a rock made her fall, with her hands colliding on the road lonely sidewalk
Brugh!
