Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 Back to the Cason Family

Since her mother passed away, Nancy Cason hadn't been back to the Cason family for a long time.

She would never forget the scene that her father visited her with his mistress and illegitimate daughter when her mother was seriously ill.

Therefore, she would never believe in marriage and entrust herself to a man.

But Henry Roberts was an exception.

She and Henry Roberts had been engaged for a long time, but it was decided in the grandpa's generation, so the two didn't take it seriously.

Back then, she broke up with her father and ran away from home with her seriously ill mother. She wanted to break off the engagement with Henry Roberts, but unexpectedly, Henry Roberts came to her in advance and gave her a marriage agreement, letting her be a puppet and guard the position of Mrs. Roberts.

Nancy Cason had had no attachment to the Cason family and the Roberts family. She didn't want to get involved in the messy entanglement between Henry Roberts and Sharraphy Belly, but looking at her mother who was suffering from illness and the embarrassment after leaving the Cason family, she finally chose to agree.

Henry Roberts needed someone to guard the position of Mrs. Roberts for him.

And she needed money.

Unfortunately, her mother died in the end, just like her fake marriage, which had lasted for three years and was about to end.

"Mr. Roberts, we just want Nancy to come back. I didn't expect you to come."

When Jonathan Cason saw Henry Roberts, he was so nervous that he didn't look like a father-in-law at all, but more like a subordinate under investigation.

He rubbed his hands and glared at Nancy Cason with dissatisfaction. "Mr. Roberts is so busy. How can you take up his time?"

With a snort, Nancy Cason rolled her eyes and asked casually, "What's up?"

Jonathan Cason was pissed off when he saw indifferent and cold Nancy Cason.

When he was about to lose his temper, she was pulled by Jessica George next to him. "It's rare for Nancy to come back. Just take it as a family reunion."

Henry Roberts also narrowed his eyes and smiled, pretending to be a "good son-in-law". "You're too polite, father. Since Nancy is sick today and doesn't feel well, I'm worried about her alone, so I came here. We are family, you don't have to be polite."

Standing next to him, Nancy Cason squinted at him with contempt.

She followed Jonathan Cason into the villa. From a distance, she saw many old things placed at the door.

Looking at those things, Nancy Cason frowned.

The paintings and antiques her mother had collected and even the clothes her mother had worn were taken out.

Nancy Cason was asked unhappily, "Why did you touch my mother's belongings?"

Jonathan Cason and Jessica George looked at each other and looked away at the same time.

At last, Jessica George stood out awkwardly and wanted to hold Nancy Cason's hand. "Here is the thing, Nancy. Your father's company has been in trouble recently and the capital can't turn over. We have no choice but to sell these things for an emergency."

Nancy Cason sneered, "Is there anything else in the Cason family that can be sold? Why do you have to touch my mother's belongings?"

Jonathan Cason became impatient and shouted, "It's all your fault. You have been with Mr. Roberts for so many years, but you don't take care of us at all. Why do you still keep a dead person's belongings? You can keep your mother's belongings..."

He looked at Henry Roberts tentatively. He was a little guilty, but he still said,

"As long as you can find a way to invest two hundred million in me, you can take all these things away."

Hearing that, Nancy Cason was so angry that she burst into laughter. At the same time, she instantly understood why Jonathan Cason asked her to come back today.

She sneered, "Two hundred million? Are you crazy? Didn't you just borrow five hundred million from Henry Roberts?"

"And..."

After a pause, Nancy Cason released a big bomb. "I'm divorcing Henry Roberts."
