Maria could feel her face throb and heat up as she stared at Chief Bradley. She glanced over at Oliver and grimaced. His expression wasn't too good either. They were both anxious as the chief examined them thoroughly.
"What do you mean Chief?" Oliver said, breaking the choking silence.
"Don't play dumb with me detective."
Oliver pursed his lips together, unsure of what to say. Chief Bradley gazed at them for what felt like hours until his expression softened and he sighed. He reached for his desk drawer and whipped out something from it.
Maria and Oliver watched him with curiosity.
"Do you know what this is?" the Chief asked as he held a flash drive in front of them.
Oliver slipped his hands into his pocket and glanced at Maria. Her face had gone pale and she was fiddling with her fingers.
"I-It's the flash drive you gave me."
"And what were the instructions I gave you detective Maria?"
