Maria froze, her body unable to move at the sight before her. The event hall was massive. It's glamorous look was enough to leave Maria speechless. Golden Chandeliers hung from the broad ceiling. Men and women dressed in exquisite attires filled the hall. Some of them were chatting with each other, while others were having a drink. Waiters in black and white suits held circular trays filled with glasses filled with wine. They strolled around the guests, offering them a glass. Beyond the crowd, Maria noticed what she perceived to be a stage. She didn't know the details of the event, so she couldn't tell why there would be a stage in the hall.
Maria could feel the pressure overwhelming her. The elegant people, the glamorous décor, everything felt too much for her. Maria felt like she was diving into a new world, a place that wasn't meant for her. She clutched her arms tightly and reflexively took a step backwards.
