Chapter 8 - Various Surprises

A man walked slowly into the room, his eyes wary for fear that someone might catch him. He peeked at the door in front of him, saw a girl sitting on his bed.

The man sighed, he had to act normal, he lifted the bowl containing the potion in his hand and opened the door.

"Time to take medicine"

He quickly poured the potion into a glass and handed it to the girl in front of him.

"Are you the new officer? I just saw you," asked Nesa.

"Yes, drink quickly to get well soon,"

The man looked restless, his body shaking. Nesa looked at him, she had not drunk the potion. She actually felt strange that this man was wearing a mask, so far there had been no guards wearing masks.

"What potion is this?" asked Nesa.

"A potion as usual, so drink it."

The man's face hardened, he looked at Nesa sharply. Nesa saw the potion, there was nothing strange, it smelled the same as usual. He finally drank hesitatingly, he took a few sips, but nothing happened.

She finally continued drinking the potion, but her throat felt hot, her body stiff.

"You .." Nesa looked at the man sharply, her chest felt tight.

The man took the potion in Nesa's hand and forced Nesa to finish it. Nesa rebelled but because her body was stiff, only an incoherent moan escaped her mouth.

"Nesa!"

Selly ran to Nesa, she threw the man's body to the side.

"Are you okay?" Cloe looked at Nesa worriedly, her body began to convulse.

The man ran out of the room but the door quickly closed. Selly holds the man's hand but the man quickly kicks Selly, he opens the door and runs away.

Selly was very angry, she wanted to chase but she saw Nesa who was getting worried.

"You are okay?"

"Can you hear me?"

Selly shook Nesa's body, but there was no response. She immediately sent telepathy to her order if Nesa was attacked. She held Nesa's body which was getting stiffer, her mouth was open with bulging eyes.

Selly was getting worried, she didn't know what to do. Suddenly Nesa strangled her neck, her strength was very strong. Selly activated her telekinesis, she threw Nesa's body.

Nesa's eyes darkened, an ominous aura filled the room. Selly was flabbergasted, she didn't know if the Nesa stone was black. She started to fly the table for defense. Nesa growled, singing began to sound. Selly covered her ears, her consciousness began to disappear.

Selly hit Nesa with the table, Nesa sat down but she immediately stood up and walked towards Selly, her eyes staring intently. Selly started throwing anything to dispel Nesa.

"Nesa wake up!"

Selly shouted, but Nesa's consciousness did not return. Selly focused her mind, Nesa's body was blown away. Selly walked towards her carefully, her singing didn't stop.

"Nesa control your power!"

Selly screamed again, but Nesa remained unconscious. Selly held her body and read her mind but her body twitched, suddenly Nesa looked into her eyes. Her body could not be moved, Nesa strangled and lifted her body. His mouth was muttering a telekinesis spell but it backfired when objects attacked him instead. Sadness overcame him, he slowly weakened, he allowed Nesa to strangle him, he felt he deserved to die.

"STOP NESA!"

A black flash hit her hand, she bounced off. Her face reddened when she saw something bothering her. Her mouth mumbled something, the people around her started laughing, they started hurting his own body.

"Control your power Nesa!"

Coach Olaf shouted, his wand emitting a black glow. He looked at Nesa's eyes sharply, Nesa screamed while holding her head, she was in pain. The people around him laughed louder and louder.

"Sorry I had to get this out."

Olaf stomped his wand on the floor. Nesa screamed loudly, her body suddenly bleeds, she fainted.

"Order of diamonds, treat them," said Olaf looking at the witches who were still hurting his body.

"Rigid," he said after holding Nesa's collapsed body.

He approached the rest of the potion in the glass. "Poison," he growled

He lifted Nesa's body out. His face hardened, he was angry because he was careless again, Nesa was again a victim. He promised to take revenge on anyone who had attacked his people.

---

A man curls up in fear in a blanket after performing his stunt.

"I was caught, I was caught,"

He repeated the word over and over. His eyes glanced here and there, sweat dripping.

"I'm home ho.."

"What happened to you?"

Poley was shocked, she opened Hevan's blanket, she saw her husband was scared.

"What happened?" asked Poley anxiously.

"I got caught, I got caught," he said shakily.

Poley rolled his eyes, he gripped Hevan's shoulder. "You did as I said, didn't you?"

Hevan nodded, his mouth still muttering the same words.

"Relax! You won't be caught as long as you follow my advice." Poley grabbed Hevan's hand.

"No one's going to know you're from the topaz order," continued Poley. She hugs her husband, she is actually a little angry because her husband made a mistake but what can she do for him to do bigger things later.

---

News of Nesa's attack had already spread, especially with Selly telepathing to the topaz guards so that many people gathered and became victims. The atmosphere in the hall was very serious, Nesa was immediately guarded by the higher-ups, they didn't want any more attacks.

"We conceded again," said Ebony angrily. She saw Nesa's body, which was still stiff despite being treated.

"The only witness is Selly and she's still unconscious," said Tuscany.

She sighed in frustration. They didn't seem to be given a chance to rest, as if the enemy had prepared this well.

"Do you know what poison is in Nesa's body?" Ivory asked the doctor who treated her.

"This poison doesn't exist in this world, but I've read in a book that it's a deadly poison from the vampire world,"

"Vampire again," Ivory grumbled, he stomped his wand.

"Tighten the guard, I don't want any more attacks," Ivory ordered the guards. His white eyes lit up, he was really angry.

"I believe there is a traitor from our nation," said Ebony, her eyes on Shamrock.

"You remember the Lagoon?" Vermilion suddenly spoke. "White robe during a fire that Irene said,"

"You mean this is the work of the same person?" said Lagoon. His eyes looked serious, he was actually quite doubtful about Irene's words at that time.

"Why don't we just check the diamond order?" said Vermilion.

"You want to cause trouble? We both know diamond sequences are almost impossible to have any malicious intent," replied Tuscany, she didn't want Vermilion's suggestion to cloud the mood.

"Then do you have a better suggestion?" replied Vermilion sarcastically.

"Stop it!" Ivory said firmly.

"What do you think we should do Shamrock?"

Shamrock was surprised that Ivory asked his opinion. "I don't think Vermilion's suggestion is bad,"

Tuscany's face hardened, she wanted to argue but quickly Shamrock continued his speech.

"But only the onyx order checks, can't they detect malicious intent?" Shamrock looked at the other higher-ups.

Ebony looked at Shamrock cynically, what Shamrock said was actually not wrong but telling her to check the order of diamonds was not a good idea, especially with the strength of their opposing orders. But there seems to be no other way.

"Okay," Ebony answered finally. "But I must lead the investigation."

Shamrock nodded at Ebony's answer, his eyes on the other higher-ups who were asking for an answer.

"Start doing the task Ebony, I hope you find the culprit soon,"

Ebony lowered her body, she came out of the room and called her best subordinates to start this task.

"And you Lagoon, come to the vampire dimension, talk about this but don't allow any bloodshed."

Lagoon bowed his head, he prepared to undertake this task. Even though he had never been to the vampire dimension but he couldn't help but have to.

"I'm going to Selly's room, I hope she wakes up,"

Tuscany left the other higher-ups in the room, the only information she could hope for from Selly before the diamond order realized they were being investigated.

He saw Selly talking to her mother. Tuscany knocked on the door, Selly's mother rushed out of the room.

"It's okay, stay here, I'm sure Selly needs you,"

"You are okay?" Tuscany looked at Selly.

Sally nodded her head. Tuscany grimaced at Selly's condition, the wounds on her body were still there even though they had started to dry up.

"I'll just go ahead, you saw the culprit right?"

"Yeah, I didn't see his face because he's wearing a mask but I'm sure he's from the topaz order,"

Tuscany's brows furrowed, he remembered Vermilion's words that the culprit was from the diamond order.

"Not from the diamond order?"

Sally shook her head. "I was holding his hand and I couldn't read his mind."

"I thought he was from the onyx order, because he wears a black robe, moreover the onyx order has a mind-reading antidote,"

"However," Selly's face hardened. "He has the aura of the topaz order, I'm sure of it."

"Tuscany, please arrest him who has hurt Nesa," Selly held Tuscany's hand.

"Do you remember anything else?"

Selly tried to remember, "Aah, he's short, shorter than me,"

Tuscany nodded. "Get some rest, and don't tell anyone about the culprit," said Tuscany, glancing at Selly's mother. Selly's mother stuttered, she nodded shakily.

Tuscany stepped out of the room, he would investigate the culprit alone.

---

"I'm coming, sir," said the white-robed man, bowing.

"For now hiding, do nothing,"

A man stared intently at the window in front of him.

"Yes, Sir,"

A man stared intently at the window in front of him. He smiled slyly, he was sure his plan would go well.

Meanwhile, in the vampire world, a girl runs scared, occasionally glancing behind her.

"Stop running, sweetie,"

The man in front of him stepped forward, he smirked while sticking out his fangs. He licked his lips looking at the girl in front of him. The girl was shocked, she backed away.

"Don't kill me!"

Her body shaking with tears streaming down her face, she stared begging for mercy at the man in front of her.

"You are a sweet girl, I wonder if your blood is as sweet as your face,"

The man had bitten the neck of the girl in front of him, he sucked hard. The girl immediately fainted with a pale face.

"As cute as her face." The man chuckled and licked his lips.

"You're as disgusting as ever, Mory." A pale-skinned girl looked at him disdainfully.

Mory walked towards her, she sniffed the girl's neck. "You are beautiful but sadly you are not human,"

"You want to die?" said the girl coldly.

"What if I kill you first?"

Mory stabbed his teeth into the girl's neck. The knife directly pierced Mory's neck.

"You can't joke around, Frasty"

Mory let go of his bite, he looked at the girl with a chuckle. Frasty rolled her eyes in annoyance. He looked at the lifeless girl in front of him.

"Could you not bring any more humans here, if Vred finds out he will be angry,"

Mory shrugged nonchalantly, he walked past Frasty.

"Ah as usual Frasty, clean the corpse,"

Frasty sighed in annoyance, she was the one who always cleaned up Mory's tantrums. But she couldn't refuse because she loved Mory.

Mory stepped through the cold hall, he whistled happily because his stomach was full after enjoying the young girl earlier.

"I have to hunt again tonight,"

He immediately flapped his wings towards the human world, but he stopped his flight when he noticed a strange movement down there. He smirked, he quickly flew down.

"Looks like we have guests," Mory bowed to the wind in front of him.

Slowly a figure appeared, he glared at Mory. He knew who he was facing, Mory, one of the most powerful vampires in his world.

"I don't want to fight Mory,"

"I don't want Lagoon either," Mory chuckled, he had not seen a wizard in his world for a long time.

"Then what are you doing here witch?" Mory walks around the Lagoon.

"I want to meet your king,"

"Do you have an appointment? You know in the human world, if you don't have an appointment, you can't meet," Mory said with a chuckle.

"I don't want to mess around," Lagoon was getting annoyed. Mory is a person who is rarely serious.

"Ahh fine, but are you sure you'll come looking like that?" asked Mory.

"You know my people hate witches,"

Lagoon was silent, he could disappear but with Mory in front of him, he didn't know what Mory would do to him.

"But calm down," Mory stepped closer to him.

"You'll be safe with me."

Mory burst out laughing. Lagoon couldn't just believe it, he put on the signal. Mory chuckled seeing the alert Lagoon, he walked away from the Lagoon towards the castle.

"Are you sure you want to stay there?"

Lagoon looked around him, many vampires looked at him disapprovingly, he finally walked after Mory from behind. The deeper you go, the colder the air, the sun's rays are not visible at all. Lagoon tightened his robes, he sensed an aura of hostility within here.

Mory stopped in a room with many guards, Mory wanted to barge in but the guards blocked him.

"You're blocking me in?" asked Mory coldly.

"Who's behind you, sir?"

The guards stared at the Lagoon with disdain, they were ready to use weapons.

"He's my friend,"

The guards never lowered their weapons.

"Put down your gun or your head I lowered,"

Mory glared at the guards, fearfully the guards lowered their weapons. Mory opened the door, he let the Lagoon in. Lagoon entered carefully, he was afraid that Mory would attack him from behind.

"Have you stopped hunting Mory humans now?"

A voice rang out from the distance, Vred walked towards his guest.

"You know I don't like male blood, especially when he's old," Mory chuckled.

"You have no manners at all to greet your guests," said Lagoon.

The conversation between the two vampires stopped, they stared at Lagooon.

"Ah sorry, then what brings you here? I'm sure you don't want any bloodshed," said Vred while looking at the Lagoon.

Lagoon took out a package from under his cloak, he threw the package at Vred.

"You want to poison me?" asked Vred with a chuckle after opening the package.

"That Shamrock and poison attack was your doing, wasn't it?" asked Lagoon, his face hardened.

Vred's face contorted. "True, the poison was from me but I didn't attack Shamrock,"

"You think I believe?" Lagoon's eyes glowed blue.

"Up to you, I have no reason to attack Shamrock. I only have business with resurrected people,"

"What do you mean?" Lagoon's eyes stared intently at Vred asking for an explanation.

"You do not know?" Vred laughed.

"Oxara, he's back on his feet,"

Lagoon's eyes widened, how could Oxara come back, he was lost thousands of years ago. He looked at Vred in disbelief.

"You think I'm lying? Think why I attacked the wizarding country?" Vred sits on his chair.

"Right, because the traitor witch came back to life," Vred snapped his fingers with a smile.

Lagoon's body trembled, he couldn't believe the magician who betrayed his people had risen. He quickly turned around, he had to say that to the other higher-ups. But when he stopped, he remembered something.

"So you mean the girl you attacked was Oxara?"

"Bingo!"

Vred walks to the Lagoon, he whispers something into Lagoon's ear. Lagoon's eyes widened again, his body shaking.

"Ah yes, and one more thing, prepare for war,"

Vred walks out of the lagoon back to his room. Likewise, with Mory, he chose to fly to find prey.

"Call Zee for me," Vred orders the guard.

He is shocked when Lagoon says Shamrock was attacked by vampires, he knows Lagoon is not lying. His face hardened, he wondered who would dare act without his orders let alone attack Shamrock, one of the leaders of the Irisbow world.

"You're disturbing my meal," Zee said with the blood still in her mouth.

"Find out who attacked Shamrock,"

"Shamrock? Isn't he one of the leaders of the wizarding world?" Zee asked shocked, he wiped the blood from his mouth.

"Right, Lagoon told me our men attacked Shamrock,"

Zee frowned, who dared to attack the leader of the mages especially without being ordered by Vred.

"I'll find out Vred,"

Zee immediately sped away, the people were very rebellious but so far no one had dared to attack the magicians. Zee sees Vred's hardened face from behind the window, she is determined to find the culprit, she doesn't want her friend's plan to fail.

After hearing Vred's explanation, Lagoon immediately rushed back to his world, he had to immediately tell the others that they were in danger, But he still didn't think that Nesa was an Oxara, he felt stupid for being careless just because Nesa was a human. He should have realized from the start that a human couldn't possibly have a magician's wand.
