Chapter 10 - Oxara

Knock tock

"Come in,"

Irene entered the room, she saw Ebony looking at her with a serious look. She actually felt strange because Ebony called her into the room, she didn't feel there was a problem with Ebony.

"What did you call me for?" Irene lowered her body.

"I heard you saw the culprit from yesterday's fire,"

"That's right, Ebony,"

"Are you sure you didn't see wrong?" Ebony's tone changed.

Irene raised her face, she didn't expect Ebony to ask that question, but she answered yes to Ebony's question.

"I just did an investigation into the class and village of the diamond order,"

Ebony's words stopped, she rose from her chair.

"And you know what? I don't feel that kind of anger,"

Ebony looked at Irene sharply. Irene felt intimidated by Ebony's gaze but she tried to cover it up.

"But that's what I saw, I'm not making this up. I saw a man in a white robe grinning at the fire."

Irene looked into Ebony's eyes, she didn't need to be afraid because she wasn't lying at all.

"I ask again, did you really see the culprit?" asked Ebony looking at Irene sharply.

Irene's face changed, she smiled sarcastically. "Why should I lie?"

She was annoyed, once Vermilion is now Ebony, why doesn't anyone believe it when they see the culprit.

"Isn't the order of diamonds capable of committing crimes?" "

"Watch your words, Irene!" Ebony snapped, she didn't want to add any more trouble.

"I just remembered that the onyx order always commits crimes," Irene chuckled.

Ebony rolled her eyes, she was slightly offended by Irene's words. It's true that her order has evil powers, but that doesn't mean her orders are criminal.

"If you really saw the culprit, just prove it," challenged Ebony Irene.

"If I'm right, change your stigma about the diamond order," said Irene.

Irene immediately came out of the room, accepting the challenge from Ebony. She wanted to prove whether she really saw the culprit. She also wants to change the stigma in her world that diamond arrangements are the best because in reality she often sees her friends doing the exact opposite.

Irene went to the site of the fire, but she didn't find any clues, let alone the building had been rebuilt. She racked her brains looking for a way to find clues.

"Should I ask for help?" Irene thought. She shook his head, she was not a person who liked to ask others for help, but rather she was a person of prestige.

"But there's absolutely no clue here,"

Irene sighed, she was confused about who to ask for help if she had to ask for help. She has no friends at all, she is always cold and busy in her own world.

"Rex," Irene muttered her thoughts on Rex. All this time he'd only been talking to Rex, and even that didn't get along.

"I should at least try,"

Irene looked for Rex in her class, but he wasn't there. She looked into the library, Rex's favorite place, but he wasn't there either. Irene goes around the academy but Rex is nowhere to be found.

"Cloe,"

Cloe turned to Irene, his face was slightly surprised to see Irene calling him.

"You saw Rex?"

"Why are you looking for him?" asked Cloe suspiciously.

"I have something to talk to him about."

"I don't know, I don't know," said Cloe, raising his injured hand.

"Rex did it, I don't know why he's so sensitive today,"

Irene immediately left Cloe without saying thank you, Cloe rolled his eyes in annoyance.

"She looks like Rex, equally annoying,"

Irene didn't really know where Rex was, but instead of listening to Cloe's words, she'd better go. She was sitting in the middle of the academy, she saw a fountain emitting 6 colors of water. H ermind drifted to remember the incident during the fire.

"Does he have a partner?" Irene's brow furrowed.

The man disappeared too quickly when she thought about it as if someone had told the man he was being followed. As she was busy thinking, her eyes caught sight of Rex walking into the academy.

Irene immediately teleported and confronted Rex. Rex frowned when he saw Irene suddenly appear but he ignored her, he pushed Irene away from him. Irene teleported back and faced Rex.

"What do you want," said Rex coldly. He was annoyed that Irene got in his way.

Irene didn't answer, she just stared at Rex, she was too proud to ask Rex for help, her mouth was locked.

"Help me," Irene said quietly as Rex was about to leave. Rex looked at Irene in disbelief, an Irene asked for help, it was impossible.

"Help me,"

Irene repeated her words, she looked at Rex. "What for?" Rex replied.

"Yesterday's fire, help me catch the culprit,"

Rex's brow furrowed, why did Irene take care of this.

"The higher-ups took care of that," Rex said.

"I saw the culprit," said Irene.

"You should be the one telling the higher-ups, not me."

"Yes, but they don't believe me,"

"Then I should believe you?" Rex asked.

Irene looked at Rex, she couldn't believe Rex would say that.

"I thought you would believe me," Irene chuckled.

"I was wrong to ask for your help,"

Irene glared at Rex, she clenched her fists in annoyance. She didn't know who else to turn to for help, only Rex she trusted at this point.

"Nesa," said Irene, grinning.

Rex's face changed when he heard Nesa's name. "I said don't bother her."

"Well, look at you two, do you want to fight? Your gaze can kill each other," Vasya chuckled as she walked towards the two of them.

Rex and Irene ignored Vasya, they were still staring at each other.

"Aah of course you guys want to fight, didn't Irene already attack Nesa?"

Irene stares cynically at Vasya's words, she walks away but Rex pulls her away. Vasya gawked at that, her face was annoyed, she wanted to see Rex and Irene become enemies, not like now, they were closer.

"Why did you pull me?" Irene stopped, she forcibly removed her hand from Rex's tug.

"Why do you mention Nesa's name?" Rex looked at Irene sharply, he walked corner Irene. Irene took a step back, she was a little scared.

"Are you stupid Rex?" said Irene, she was trying to be firm.

"Don't you think that after the fire a lot of things happened to Nesa?"

"And you're one of them, right?" said Rex, his face hardening.

"Forget it, I just wanted to test you," said Irene.

"Test you say?" His jaw hardened, his eyes began to glow.

"You want to fight again?" Rex smirked, he took out his wand.

Irene sighed, Rex is very sensitive when it comes to Nesa. "Can you listen to me first," Irene said sharply.

"After that, if you want to fight it's up to you,"

Rex gave up his will to attack, he put his wand back down. He leaned his body waiting for Irene's story.

"The culprit is from the diamond order,"

Rex rolled his eyes at Irene's words, he wanted to answer but Irene continued.

"When I chased him he disappeared quickly, I immediately reported to Vermilion and Lagoon but they didn't believe it,"

"And it seems they told other higher-ups, Ebony has called me to the room, she did an investigation into the class and village of the diamond order but there is no sign of crime,"

"And Ebony told me to prove that what I saw was true,"

"But you know Rex?" Irene looked at Rex.

"As I thought, he disappeared too quickly as if someone had told him I was after him. And also after that incident, Nesa was attacked, wasn't it by Shamrock?"

"Indeed Shamrock said he wanted to train but in fact Nesa was almost dying, right?"

"You don't think those things have anything to do with Rex?"

Rex was silent hearing Irene's words, he was only thinking about this. He only thought Shamrock was after Nesa but never thought that Shamrock could be the mastermind behind the fire.

"Can you vouch for your words?" Rex asked.

"No, that's why I asked you to find out."

Irene looked at Rex asking for an answer. "Only for Nesa,"

Irene's lips lifted slightly, she didn't know if Rex really liked Nesa.

"So, what should I do?" Rex asked.

"Can you investigate Shamrock? I'll be asking the others during the fire if anyone saw anything suspicious."

Rex nodded his head. "We meet here after two days,"

Irene agreed with Rex's words. She saw Rex leave immediately after saying that. She hoped his investigation would come to fruition, though she didn't know if Shamrock had anything to do with the fire. She only said that for the sake of baiting Rex.

Braak!

The Lagoon opened the doors of the main hall but there was no one higher up there.

"Where are the higher-ups?"

He asked the guards passing by, they shook their heads in disbelief. Lagoon immediately teleported to the diamond order class but Ivory wasn't there. He teleported to the ruby-order class, he saw Vermilion monitoring his students.

"Vermilion!"

Vermilion was surprised to see the Lagoon. "What's wrong, why are you screaming?"

The students were surprised to see the arrival of the Lagoon which immediately pulled Vermilion's hand out of the classroom.

"Relax, you scared the others," Vermilion gripped Lagoon's shoulders. Lagoon glanced at the students who were staring at them. He took a calming breath.

"Listen to me, we have to have a big forum now." Lagoon stared at Vermilion intently.

"What for?" Vermilion asked confused.

"Nesa, it's Oxara,"

Vermilion's eyes widened at Lagoon's words, her face hardened.

"Oxara is dead," Vermilion said firmly.

"Vred told me,"

"King of the vampires?"

Lagoon nodded. Vermilion sighed. "You trust him?"

"He's serious Vermilion" Lagoon said annoyed.

"How do you know he's not lying?"

Lagoon fell silent at Vermilion's question. He had no proof that Vred was not lying.

"You know for yourself that our nation and its people are enemies, and you believe in it?"

"Control yourself," Vermilion said firmly.

Lagoon ruffled his hair in annoyance, he glared at Vermilion. "At least we have to make sure that Nesa is Oxara or not,"

"Alright," Vermilion's voice turned soft. "Prove that Nesa is indeed Oxara, otherwise don't ever trust Vred again,"

Lagoon nodded his head, he immediately teleported to look for other higher-ups. He had a strong feeling that Nesa was Oxara. Vermilion shook his head looking at the Lagoon, he couldn't believe that Nesa was Oxara. Oxara was long dead and there was no way he could come back here.

"I've checked the classes and villages of the diamond order but none of them have the aura of anger like that fire," Ebony said to Ivory.

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah, I'm sure Irene just saw it wrong. I've told Irene to prove herself if she really saw the culprit."

Ivory nodded his head, he couldn't conclude what was happening now. Ivory was surprised to see Laguna suddenly appear with a restless face.

"What did you get from the vampire kingdom?" Ivory asked.

"We have to go to the main hall, it's too dangerous here," Lagoon said, his eyes darting left and right.

He immediately grabbed Ivory and Ebony's hands to teleport to the main hall. Until there Lagoon sighed calming himself.

"Vred said that he did attack Nesa,"

Ivory and Ebony's faces instantly hardened, an aura of anger radiated thickly from Ebony.

"But Vred said they weren't the ones who attacked Shamrock," Lagoon continued.

"That's impossible," argued Ivory.

"I clearly saw a vampire run and enter the vortex and then disappear, the wound on Shamrock's hand, you saw it too didn't you," Ivory looked at the two of them.

"I don't believe in vampires," said Ebony angrily.

"But there's one more thing you should know," Lagoon said, lowering his voice.

"Nesa is Oxara,"

The disbelieving gazes emitted from the two of them were exactly like Vermilion. Lagoon immediately continued his speech. "I know it's hard for you to believe, and so am I, but we have to investigate, don't we?"

Lagoon looked at the two of them alternately asking for an answer. Ivory was silent thinking about something, he slowly nodded his head.

"Do you believe what vampires say?" asked Ebony in disbelief.

"I sensed a strange aura from Nesa, and it wasn't a witch or a human-vampire," said Ivory.

"What do you mean?" Ebony was confused by Ivory's answer.

"But if Nesa is Oxara then the aura I've seen so far makes sense,"

"A dense yet faint aura of anger," Ivory said while glaring at the two of them.

"You don't feel it Ebony?" asked Lagoon in disbelief.

Ebony was silent, all this time he had not felt the aura like Ivory said. She did feel an aura of anger but that was only if Nesa used her powers, not every time.

"Ebony's ignorance adds to our belief that he is indeed Oxara," said Ivory.

"What do you mean?" asked Lagoon.

"Because of the power of the evil onyx order, the bad aura of an Oxara, who betrayed our nation and even allied with the vampires," Ivory said angrily, his white eyes piercing.

"Only the order of diamonds can know it, and even then only people who already have high strength," continued Ivory.

Ebony chuckled, it's only natural that Nesa could give off a thick aura of anger against Shamrock, it turned out to be Oxara. Ebony's aura of anger radiated strongly, she chuckled. She walked to Ness's room.

"Ebony control yourself!"

Ivory screamed but Ebony ignored him, she kept walking. Ivory forced his strength, Ivory's mouth mumbled something, Ebony's steps immediately stopped, she sat down.

"Control your strength, we don't know yet if he really is Oxara or not. Don't make a fuss," Ivory said as he gently grabbed Ebony's shoulder.

"Then what should we do?" asked Ebony nervously.

"We must.."

"NESA LOST!"
