Beside me, Dorian lifts his chin, bravely defiant, mustering then spitting his pithy response through bloodied lips and blood-rimmed teeth. "Fⴎck you."
A guard in his detail unsheathes and raises a billy club but stops abruptly mid-swing when Silas lifts a hand with an amused huff.
"The consequences for your actions have been determined," Silas continued. "The rogue wolf, Dorian McEttigan, will be blood-bound to Desert pack and subject to the will and command of its Alpha."
