I have to admit, Sean starting his shift isn't exactly what I expected when I saw him stripping off all his clothes. It brings out an entirely new animal inside me, much to my surprise, and she's not any more of a pushover than I am.
Sean's Desert wolf is smaller and leaner than the great black wolf of Ian Gallagher or the giant gray wolf of his brother, Jack, from the Candlewood pack, but he's still significantly larger than I am. As he completes his shift, shaking out his yellowish-gray pelt heavily clouded with black across his shoulder ruff, back and along his tail, he steps closer, nuzzling into the thicker ruff along my neck and shoulders.
Easing back a couple steps, he lays down in a sphinx position, his eyes on me and his bushy tail wagging. He makes low whining sounds, encouraging my attention, and tosses and tilts his head.
