Yawning, I stretch without opening my eyes. The morning's light brightens the room and the air off the ocean is warm and pleasant already. Heaving a rested sigh, I roll towards the weight behind me to find Sean smiling at me.
Stretching his neck, he kisses my forehead, the scruff of what's becoming a short, golden beard, tickles my skin. "Good morning, little girl." With one muscular arm, he cuddles me against his chest.
I run my fingertips along his strong jaw, liking the scratchy-soft feel of the hair—with his short-sheared golden hair, it's actually quite a striking look for him. In that instant, all of this seems entirely normal then I realize abruptly that I went to bed with a different man than the one I'm waking up with.
