(Dorian's Perspective)
Sean's given me a good deal to think about during out little chat, and after I close myself in my bedroom, I mull it over as I wander about, examining my temporary digs. The doors to the veranda are open to the night breeze and the dull roar and regular rhythm of the tranquil Sea of Cortez beyond. The light wafting wind stirs the curtains almost dreamily and outside the rolling waves beacon.
Wandering out onto the veranda, I follow the stone staircase at one side down to what essentially amounts to a private stretch of beach accessible exclusively from our villa. I slip my feet out of my shoes, burying my toes in the soft, warm sand. I'd have thought that after spending most of last night not only swimming, but towing Sean against the water's drag that there wouldn't be much of an appeal to the thought of returning to the water for at least a few days.
