I don't know what time it is when I wake draped like a wet towel over Dorian's solid chest. His regular warm breaths winnow lightly through my hair and my arm rests along his taut belly. Drowsily, I slide my palm down, my fingertips caressing the fine downy hairs in a line south from his navel.
He sighs sleepily, laying one large paw over mine, flattening and stilling my light, tracing touch. "Not that I won't oblige, but there's nothing but trouble that way, kitten."
"Have you been awake this whole time?"
"I dozed a little. When you first fell asleep." One large hand glides up my shoulder, then smooths my hair away from his face.
"I'm almost afraid to ask what you were thinking about while you let me sleep."
He sighs. "For a little while, I felt guilty. I was pretty rough and you're so tiny—."
